Eureka 6833B Canister Cleaner

I bought this vacuum because from the pictures posted on the web, and the list of accessories, and the fact it has a 12 amp motor, it looked very much like a 13+ year old Eureka vacuum we now have that cleans very well, but is falling apart and is being held together by duct tape. I am very disappointed because many of the parts seem to be constructed of a lower grade of materials and plastic. More importantly, it has half the suction of the old vacuum, and thus does not clean very well. The online store (abcvacuum) has been very helpful in offering to take it back, and suggested some other models which might work better.
