Esteban's Complete Guitar Course for Beginners by Esteban (2005, Package)

Esteban is a great guitar player and I enjoy his work. However, I was not impressed with the teaching course. It is very difficult for me as a beginner to follow the DVD because the camera shows the left hand only while the right hand still is playing or the camera shows the right hand but not the left hand. So it is not possible to see both hands coordination at the same time. In my mind, that is the essence of teaching. I wish they were showing both hands side by side. Although, the course was intended for beginners, but some assumptions were made after the first 15 minutes of the DVD, particularly when they get into chords, notes, etc. I like the packaging, but the fact is that the DVD was not helpful.

There's not anything I dislike about the product.It's exactly what I wanted and the packaging and the box it came in took me by surprise cause it was so well packaged.I decided to purchase it for 2 reasons; 1 was the price was reasonable and 2 it was the teaching of esteban who up to now I only heard about.

Great Starter Course, complete set, was like new. My son's are using this for tips , techniques, and skill development. DVD especially helpful in demonstrating the techniques that he is explaining. Would recommend this set to anyone wanting to learn to play the guitar, or anyone just wanting a demonstration of guitar playing techniques.

I like the book but with out the DVD.It is good not that good.I like the Guitar.And want to play it better some day with out the DVD it is hard.

The Guy can Play.
He (they) are also marketing masters.
Unfourtnatly it has more to do with sales than actually wanting to teach you anything.

There are far better Methods on the Market and of Course Don't Forget the Ulimate accessory: The Real Life Teacher.

If you've ever seen the Infomercials and you say, "Whoa I didn't know it was that easy!". Well, it's not. To Play Guitar Takes real Work. Not to mention most of the Real Important Stuff You Really Need to Know to Learn an Instrument isn't even touched upon.

Then again that kind of Real World Stuff Don't Sell Books/DvDs. EASY! SELLS! Easy, is also an untruth.

And if you need more proof just read the reviews of a couple of beginners right here in this review section. Then consider the Infomercial where he pulls a complete beginner (never touched a Guitar before)up on stage and in a few seconds he's playing away. Now, why is it that this person (who's never touched a guitar before) is playing away in a few seconds, while our reviewing beginners are struggling to catch on. Well, that's because our struggling beginners are telling you something Esteban is not: The Truth.

Playing takes work and time. Anyone who's played and taught as long as I have know what a joke his whole marketing system is.

Sorry, I've nothing nice to say about the guys whole system and seriously save yourself some cash and get a qualified teacher and some real study materials that focus on things you need to know, such as How to Practice etc.

IT's good instruction and easy to follow. The teacher is patient and is knowledgable. He makes guitar look easy. I don't dislike it at all. I"m using it for home school music instruction along with another book on famous composers

The item was out of stock and was never received. The company gave no alternative except to refund the money that was paid.
