Great coverage of the discipline of fluid mechanics. Author has a very thorough and very readable writing style which is uncommon in technical textbooks of this nature and rigor. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to really learn fluid mechanics from a engineering standpoint.

Good, but be warnedThis is a decent textbook. So far it seems to get all the concepts across clearly. Be cautious however, because this is the abbreviated version ("Essentials of..."). If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the full text, this is a good option. Most all of the problems from the full version are included, sometimes just shifted by two or three. A few sections and chapters are completely missing from the full version. All in all, a good buy if you don't need the full text.
