The Essential Chocolate Chip Cookbook by Elinor Klivans (2007, Paperback)

If it's a chocolate cookbook, it is bound to land in my cookbook collection sooner or later. You can't have to many! I had just purchased Martha Stewart's "Cookies" and so wanted to see how this one measured up to the Queen's. Chocolate is more than just an 'ingredient.' To us chocoholics it is the essence of life, especially if it is biting into a warm chocolate chip cookie! Ms. Klivans has plenty of pictures in her book and will give you about 90 simple but delicious recipes for everything chocolate.....from the Chock Full of Chocolate Chip Cookie to the Girdle-Buster Ice Cream Pie! I have tried only a couple recipes so far and a few of Martha's and I've come to the conclusion that unless they are identical in ingredients you can't judge. All you can do is enjoy!
