Calvin and Hobbes are cutest, funniest characters ever. I've never purchased a book full of cartoons until these guys! I used to have a doll named Sordora and she took the heat for a many of my messes.
Mr Watterson does an excellent job of capturing the essence of a naughty, bright and adorable six year old. My personal favorites are when his dad starts losing points on the popularity poll. Too funny!

I have always enjoyed Calvin & Hobbes. I had the whole collection at one time in my life and lost it due to a catastrophic event. I have begun purchasing books by e-bay sellers and every one of them have been in good or excellent condition. happy to say that only one purchase in 33 has been a loser.

Just as funny as the rest!Calvin will always be my favourite comic. His hilarious imagination is just amazing! If you love laughing your sides out buy this.

Need A Laugh?I would call this a decent C&H book. It's not my absolute favorite, nor is it AS large as some of the others, but if you're having a bad day, crack it open and let Calvin & Hobbes carry on their shinanigans.
p.s. - I wouldn't call it the essential C&H. I believe there are larger ones out there. Cost wise, it might be more efficient to by a bigger one. But this does have a style all its own, which is worthwhile for the C&H collector.
