As the title suggests, this is THE essential Bruce Springsteen. There are songs I've never heard of before ("American Skin", "County Fair") as well as the best sellers of his over the years. I like all of the songs about the same, but of course there are the stand-outs: "Born in the U.S.A."; "Glory Days"; and "Born to Run". I did, however, think there were a few "essentials" missing, both from the "Born in the U.S.A." album. Those are "I'm on Fire", and "I'm Goin' Down". Those are two of the songs that epitomize Bruce for me, but this is still definitely a compilation worth owning.

Excellent retrosepective, a must have for all Springsteen fans. Great 3CD set brings back good memories of most of Springsteen's best tracks.

) The boss's greatest hits! I like the second disc the most which has the majority of his classic songs. If your in the same boat then I wouldn't pay more than $10 plus shipping because you can get these tracks on Bruce Springsteens greatest hits.
