Buy It, Read It, Live It 4 Everyday Life Enrichment!
Review created: 03/11/09

This book is a marvelous insight into the author's philosophy for creating the arena in which his students have excelled and become world-renowned. These ethics, if applied not only in a classroom but also by everyone on earth who interacts with children today, would produce an enormous change in our future world citizens.

This New York Times Bestseller specifically identifies a list of 55 small, extremely important standards to implement when working with students in the classroom. If everyone applied these principles to our relationships with all we interact with daily, our classrooms, our workplaces, our relations with all, universally, would thrive and flourish. The World Would Be A Better Place! What a Pollyanna thought! I would love to be able to live long enough to view the changes our world experienced from the trickledown effect this would bring about.

Buy this book, read it, begin to apply these principles in daily life. Let us all develop superb, amazing, caring, children; and, as a byproduct of putting these fifty-five principles into action, improve daily life for all!

  Substitute Teacher's MUST HAVE book!
Review created: 10/08/08

I just completed a manditory Substitute Teacher training course at our local Community College. It's amazing how much information and knowledge that came from that class. Ron Clark's teaching methods are the basis for the class and it should be a REQUIRED book for all teachers. Lots of great life lessons. Kudos to Ron. I wish newly opened school was in OUR school district.

Essential 55 by Ron Clark (Nikole's Review)

I decided to buy the book because I am an Early Childhood Education major in college and this book has been talked about a lot. I have been encouraged to read this book by several people. So I did an EBAY search for the book. I found a paper back cover coppy for a good price and I bought it. The transaction was smooth and my book came in the mail shortly. It was an easy process.

A must read for every teacher and parent!
Review created: 12/07/06

I borrowed this book from a friend of mine and my teenage son and I would read exerpts from it before retiring for the night. I enjoyed Mr. Clark's practical steps toward getting past attitudes and poor mannered children so that he could do his job as a teacher. I thought it was also an excellent way to teach my teenage son about manners, behaviour and social skills without having to correct or nag. He learned about the challenges of teachers and why it was important for children to be well mannered and respectful. This is a definate must for all teachers and students alike!!! I would HIGHLY recommend it!

Ron's story is an inspiration and offers wonderful suggestions for teaching and for life. For anyone considering teaching or anyone that has been teaching a long time. Also great for anyone who interacts with kids or just wants to get a different perspective on how to respect to others.
