Ernest Saves Christmas (DVD, 2002)

One of the all time best holiday movies out there. My sons and my husband and my self whatch this every year! Ernest does a great job like he does in all the other Ernest movies. Hope my review could help!

If you love Ernest and you love Christmas, you'll LOVE this movie!!! This is definitely one of the best in the series. My kids watch it all year long, and laugh every time. R.I.P. Jim - we miss you!!

In my opinion this is the best Ernest movie .It should be a Christmas classic, even though it only shows Christmas in the worldly form (meaning nothing was said about Jesus' birthday , the true meaning of Christmas )where one Santa retires and passes on the tradition to a man who continually stands up for goodness , even in a television show .Ernest works hard to help make this night called Christmas Eve happen with-out a hitch .

It was great to get a movie that my wife wanted and could not find. I look like a hero to her, ebay looks like a hero to me! We all win.

I love the Ernest movies. They are family friendly and funny. Ernest Saves Christmas and Ernest goes to Jail are my favorite.

I bought the DVD because I like to watch this movie during Christmas and I did not have it on dvd.

My Children Loved it when they were little so I bought it for My Grand Children to enjoy!!Jim Varney Was a Great Actor who was also a Wonderful Person.I worked in the Car Business and heard many stories of great things he did for Children on his Visits to John L. Sullivans in Sacramento.

We love any movie with Jim in it. He was under apreciated as a clean, funny, loveable actor. It's really too bad he wasn't around long enough to do more than he did. The characters in this movie are well cast.

Ernst Saves Christmas is one of my all time must watch movies at the Christmas season. It is goofy, but gives a good message that people are ultimately good inside, and when trusted to do the right thing they will rise to the occasion. When I couldn't find a TV station running it this past Christmas, I decided it was time to get my own copy. I was thrilled to find it available on Ebay. It is one of those movies that will hold your children's attention. I highly recommend you add this film to your collection.

I bought this movie as a Christmas present for my mother in law... she said it was her favorite Christmas movie, and quite honestly I was shocked. Really? Earnest is the best? We all sat down to watch it after Christmas and it really was hilarious... laugh out loud funny over and over. There were definite references to the true meaning of Christmas, but they weren't overt if those aren't your beliefs. I never would have guessed it, but at the ripe old age of 34 I finally watched my first Earnest movie and loved it!

I decided to buy this particular item due to the fact that it is a Christmas favorite for my family. Last Christmas it didn't come on TV so we decided to buy it this Christmas.

Ernest Saves Christmas DVD is an appropriae movie for this time of year. With the gas prices so high and the freezing temperatures outside, shopping on line is so much better. The movie is one of our families Christmas favorites among other holiday movies.

It was in great condition. I decided to get this movie because I wanted it Im a huge DVD collector and Im trying to get all of Ernest Videos so I have started with Saves Christmas and Scared Stupid

I bought this for my nephews to watch on our way to Myrtle beach for our family vacation, they sent it to the wrong address and in other words told me it wss tough luck, so I pleded with them for quit a while and they finally sent us a replacement, or one out, they are bad communications, I would email and not get a response for days unending.

I have seen many of the Ernest series of films and this is one of my favorites. His character is so down to earth and honest and geniunely funny. There are some great moments (like when he delivers the Christmas tree to his always unseen buddy Verne's house), or when he is driving Santa's sled all over Orlando. It also makes me chuckle to see it snow in Orlando because for the 21 years I have lived here, that has never really happened quite like in the movie. Personally, I must admit that I knew the actor who played the Police officer who was tasked with booking Santa Claus into the local jail, his name was Danny Dillon, and when I asked him about Jim Varney and doing this film with Jim around, Danny had nothing but glowing comments about JIm and his crew. I might note too that this was the first film ever made entirely in Orlando, Florida. Actor Danny Dillon is now up there with Jim at that big actors home in the sky, but I have never forgotten either of them and their great talents to make people laugh and feel at home while doing so. You see, Danny Dillon, use to play Sid Cuehuenga at Disney (MGM, now Hollywood) Studios and he could be found every Sunday where he did well at that establishment making folks laugh. I did manage to have Danny personally sign my copy of this CHristmas gem and he was quite flattered and honored to do so. Danny and Jim were great talents and I will miss their presence in this world but wish them the best on the next level. A Truly wonderful Christmas story to enjoy. WFC
