Ericsson T68 (Unlocked)

I received the phone as a gift in February 2001 (it is now 5 years old) and have found it superior to other phones in a few ways. For example, there are fields per address book entry for first name, last name, company, home phone, work phone, cell phone, fax, other, and email. It has many tools - calculator, calendar, task list with reminders, recurring alarm, timer, stopwatch and a voice recorder. It also has internet capability, email, SMS, several profiles and 10 slots for customizable ringtones. This was the first phone with a color screen. The battery lasted me for a solid 48 hours without charging and plenty of talking. However, it does not stand up to abuse well (e.g. hitting concrete sidewalks repeatedly). Not only did the cosmetics damage relatively easily, I think some computer components were damaged after several drops. It's not for the clumsy.

This phone is great if you're traveling internationally and prefer something smaller than a PDA to keep you organized. My phone was purchased overseas, came with a switching power supply (aka dual voltage adapter), and an American plug adapter for the British plug. I would recommend this phone if you're seeking quality over trendy & cheap.

the phone i received didn't work. i sent it back 4 months ago. they keep telling me its in the mail. so 5 months later i still have no phone

I needed this exact recycled cell phone to keep the cell phone contract I presently have..after I deleted the old address book that was left on it..it worked fine.

It is worth the money and quality.It serves my purpose of having an extra phone. I am using this one for texting purposes in my home country coz I have a sim card that has international roaming already. For my family to send text to using this line , is a lot cheaper. Thanks a lot.

First phone in the world with a color screen. Aesthetically pleasing. The phone that has stated my obsession with collecting well made phones.

i really like the phone and all,but one small issue I couldnt get it turned on so I returned it.I would have loved to had kept it but couldnt.Thank you

The title I think says it all. My cell phone screen died before its time and renewal date. (6 months later) Thus, the used Sony Ericsson T68 is a stop gap but has certainly served my needs and as stated, "as advertised". can't ask for more than that.

I bought it as a gift for my extended family in Nigeria. I still have it in my luggage until I travel in December 2009. So, I don't know how it works but I tested it when I received. It seemed to be okay. Taibat.

simple , basic. If you need to just use the phone to talk, this phone is perfect. Battery life is twice as long as newer models because of a simple display.

The t68 phone I bought would not work but the seller made it good and the replacement worked perfectly. I am very happy with the transaction.

I initially wanted a t68 after a very favorable mention by Walter Mossberg in the Wall Street Journal.

i like that it still has a good battery life..the charge of the battery can still last though it might suddenly turn off..tried turn on and theres still this message showing low bat(even days past)...unlike my other phone once the battery's low,shut downs and never will turn on again even for couple of seconds,so wouldnt really know whats wrong..
ericsson is always a name you can trust when it comes to cellphone,i purchase this because i really miss my old one...lost it while on vacation...they are the most durable ones i have..my kids banged them,throw them...this unit that i won,theres scratch here and there and the seller is so honest about the condition that it might not operate,but my instinct tells me "hey its ericsson"..surprisingly,i charge the battery for like 15 minutes,put a sim and voila! i was able to call my landline...this phone is still reliable...and the size is just perfect for my palm,unlike those big bulky cellphone,thats taking too much space,so hard to dial esp on crowded place.
if you are considering a 2nd inexpensive cellphone-just for emergency...this is your ever trust worthy,ol reliable...T68..thats Ericsson for you..

Never got the product.

Seller, in the auction, offered multiple payment options (including auctiva). However, after the close of the auction, my only options were reduced to providing the seller with my confidential information.

Either via personal check or CC information, or the international scam favorite, a cashiers check.

I informed the Seller that I would honor the auction if he had Auctiva communicate to me in a reasonable time frame. This did not occur and to this day has not. I cannot find a record of this seller with Auctiva.

FYI...I am in the Los Angeles area 2x a month and would pay this seller $15 any where he wishes in exchange for the items.

This is obviously a scam, and I will not be a party to it. The Seller believes he can "blackmail" me into providing him my personal information to keep my ebay status.

Oh...I currently use an Ericsson 990i (just under $500, try to find one), and wanted the T68 as a travel back up for Europe.
