Surprisingly, unlike most hardware, this was an effortless install. We have the t88III-P (parallel) and it worked wonderfully. I was prepared to spend hours fighting with it to get our software to print to it. The printer is as fast as you could ever need. I'd estimate that it prints a 12" long receipt in under 1 second. We actually had to get a serial printer because our software "upgrade" didn't support parallel printers for some reason (even though the newest epson -IV has a parallel version). As for the drivers, now Epson makes you register to get their driver package, but you can find the same .exe by searching the web. The program steps you through installing just about any Epson receipt printer (new or old) and gives you options for port settings. It's really the easiest thing I've found to install and is extremely reliable.

Use these on XP with no problem. Epson supplies the drivers. Just call them. They have a silent installer and also a regular driver installation.

Driverless doorstop!
) I have tried for 3 months to get xp drivers. No such luck. it is now an overpriced doorstop!I highly discourage buying one of these unless you are running some other operating software or are very creative
