Epson Stylus® 1400 InkJet Photo Printer

I needed the ability to print some photos larger than 8x10.
So, did some research and decided to give this 6-ink model
a try. (I also looked at the R1900, which is an 8-ink model)

I printed out a sample photo on glossy 11x13 on both printers
and actually preferred the output of the 1400. The printer
being half the cost of the 1900 is just gravy. (You can put
it towards ink, which is actually more expensive than the 1400.)

A side benefit, one that wasn't part of my selection criteria,
but one that I really appreciate now, is the ability to print
directly onto a disc. It looks better than the stick-on labels
that come loose and vibrate (or get stuck in) the drive.

I purchased this printer a few weeks ago, the printer was very easy to set up and use and the very first print I made was with Epson Glossy paper 13"x19" the maximum print size that was allowed. it came out much better than I expected, the colors were realistic and the print was dry to the touch almost immediately the inks are easy to locate at most office supply stores and are very reasonable in price espically when you consider that you only need to replace the color needed and you get warning on low ink long before you run completely out

I LOVE this printer!!!! That's why I have already had to put more black ink in this printer. First of all that means I printed a bunch of pictures because for a photo printer this one uses less ink than any I have ever used before. I also love that the ink is seperate so if I use up one color it's the only one I have to change out. I love that you can print BIG pictures. I have gone crazy printing on BIG paper 13x19...everyone in my family has a big picture I have printed. I even bought some canvas paper and have printed some on canvas and they turned out GREAT! I researched for awhile before buying this one and decided it was the best buy. The one I got came with a cord, so I didn't have to buy that and the software it comes with is good software if you don't already have a photo editing program. I would buy another one of these printers in a heartbeat.

I've had an on-again, off-again relationship with Epson printers over the years. Most of the 'offs' were due to the printer simply breaking--never seemed to have good luck with them lasting a long time. They've always produced superior pictures, though. So, after a stint with HP I'm back and lovin' it! Of course I've only had the printer about a month, but I've put it through its courses in that time. A little adjustment here or there to get the colors just right (I prefer the 'Adobe RGB' over 'Epson Vivid' for 'color management' for instance) and presto, never seen better! I also turned to 3rd party ink for refills and couldn't be happier with the results (inkjetcarts--never heard of them before now). We'll see how she holds up over time.

Love the high quality printing better than buying from any store!!! I bought it because it is one of the few printers capable of printing store quality photos that are much clearer and the sizes i can print are lager than i can print in any store.

I needed a wide printer to replace my HP 9800 which I could not get to work with my new computer (Vista). The epson stylus 1400 answered my need. This machine delivers some of the best photo copies I have ever seen. I am very pleased with it.

Shipping was timely and the box had all items needed to set up and get going in a very short time.

I have used this product only a short time but I like what I see.

I bought it because I needed a printer that could print 10x13 envelopes in color, that was not too expensive, and that worked under vista, which my hp does not.
I don't particularly like or dislike it, although it was failing to cooperate when I tried to print some regular letter envelopes last week. I currently have 9 printers, 7 of which are connected up to 2 different computers, and they serve different functions. I am not wild about any of them, but they do what I need done.
This Epson does make a nice quality print, and if all I was doing was occasional color prints, and I needed the wide format capability and the vista compatability, it might serve as my primary printer. However, I print large quantities of b&w on my laser printers for my business, and this printer would not be cost effective for that, or for printing the color sheets I do for a small publication I am involved with - it is too slow for large quantities.

Great quality prints, acceptable speed, and a 13" width make this an excellent printer. I recommend getting a ciss and these machines can be workhorses. We have 3 at my shop and will keep getting more.

The printer I received apparently had a mechanical problem. The Epson company shipped me a 2nd printer that also had a mechanical problem. Hopefully the 3rd one will be the charm......I don't believe this had anything to do with the seller...just the product

Love this printer. I purchased this Epson Stylus 1400 Ink Jet printer 3 weeks ago. It is very easy to set up and use. This package included the usb cable and that is required. This was a good deal. Be sure to get the epson paper to go with it.

Love this printer!!! The 12x12 size allows me to print lettering, titles and captions directly onto my card stock paper, with professional results. I design and sell scrapbook layouts, which are 12x12, and the ability to print on specialty paper is a great feature. Additional features I like include the top-loading instead of front, reasonable-priced six color ink cartridges, and the very low sound when the machine is actually printing. I couldn't be more pleased with my new Epson!!

I bought this printer for my T-shirt business. It does an excellent job printing on ink jet heat transfer paper for lights. Some images don't turn out great, but this is more do to my need for a RIP program to print half tone dots. Prints picture awesome! The dye based ink is the only draw back it takes time to dry.

The printer prints great images with epson photo luster or glossy. I love the printer but the only thing i dislike is that it prints a little darker than the original images.

I cannot give my opinion since on the printer this I don't work and not you that to make if sent to repair for my bill or you can help me

The EPSON Stylus 1400 InkJet Photo Printer is a fast printer that produced beautiful printings on paper and also CD Labels. The CD printing system is very reliable in comparison whit other EPSON models.

We needed this product to ocmplete an art exhibition at a local gallery. We had much success with this printer. For 25 test prints and final prints we only had to replace cartidges once.

great for printing your positives for the screen printing process. the wide format is great. with the right ink its perfect for your typical 20" x 24" screen.

This printer is very easy to install. The ink cartriges are also quick to install and change. It also prints vivid colors.

This was an upgrade from my old Epsom printer.I like it as well as the old one, and it prints much more quietly.I never thought that would be a plus, but it is.It installed easily,and was up and running in less than an hour.

This is a great printer. We do a lot of scrapbooking and it can print 12 x 12 inch paper in great photo quality. This printer sells everywhare for $299. I got it for $233 delivered. Happy camper.
