This was purchased on Ebay. The unit never worked properly, poor image quality and extensive problems with software until the unit quit completely. Epson tech support was unable to resolve issues and claimed the unit has a defective lens requiring replacement of the cover panel. Epson later advised that this product was discontinued due to undisclosed problems.

Just what I needed!
) After shopping around for a decent negative scanner that was Mac compatible, I cruised over here to eBay, and found a great, high rated top seller with the Epson flatbed 3590 Photo/Negative scanner. It arrived in perfect condition, and I have been happily scanning the literal hundreds of negatives I've had stored in their archival sleeves- some for more than 15 years!! This scanner offers myriads of settings, from entry-level beginner to professional grade, and is very easy to use. I also have a different Epson Photo printer, and my clients (including myself!) are very happy with the prints Epson produces.
