Epson CX8400 All-In-One InkJet Printer

What a pile of rubbish. bad paper handling, VERRRRY small ink tanks, you will go broke on ink. matte photo paper won't even go through it. I have always had Epson printers, but NO MORE. I bought a Samsung color laser.....what a difference and you get about 1000-1500 copies out of the toner! Hard to find compatible ink, although I did find some at 4inkjets.com that ACTUALLY work in the CX8400. The problem is Epson changing the chip set on different runs of the printers. Did I mention....RUBBBBBBISH. This printer is awful.....and I bought 2 of them. YIKES

My CX5400 scanner portion died and sought out a good Epson replacement. Price on the CX8400 was excellent and seller (EBay) was great. Does a nice job printing anything I need. Ink cartridges are too darn small and very expensive compared to past Epson printers. Why don't they just give printers to users since the ink is their money maker? Very noisy loading paper.

I bought this printer primarily because of its price ($59) and a Brand I like (Epson). I have been quite happy with the unit although it is a bit noisy - don't print a lot of stuff in the middle of the nite - it will wake the house. Photos print pretty well, black & white stuff is fast and ink seems to last quite a bit longer than my previous printer (Epson 620). The control panel is a bit confusing but works fine after a few days of experience - not terribly intuitive, though. Ink Cartridges are expensive from Epson - look on the net for better bargains which work almost as well. It's everything you might expect in a $59 printer !

I set my printer defaults to print with black ink only. Funny thing is all of my color cartridges ran out at the same time as my black ink. Strange that I never printed a page in color yet I ran out of ink. I bought more black thinking if I print only in black it would work. NOPE ALL INK NEEDS TO BE AVAILABLE! even if only printing text or b&w. Truth be told, the printer with it's first set of ink is now cheaper than buying a full set of new ink cartridges. I guess I have to decide if I want a new printer or just the ink, it just doesn't feel environmentally friendly if I buy a whole new printer but why pay more for just the ink?

This printer is a very capable all-in-one unit. The print quality and speed are very good. The scan/copy speed is a little slow, but not terribly so. The individual ink cartridges are nice, but it does consume ink fairly rapidly especially if printing photographs. I don't know if it's any worse than most of the inkjets of comparable print quality in regards to ink consumption. I recently purchased a set of refillable cartridges, and I hope that will cut the ink costs dramatically. All-in-all, I don't have any complaints at this point in time. I've owned the printer for roughly one month.

I am a scrapbooker, so my husband bought me a Canon camera at circut city and the deal was you got a printer for $10 after mail in rebate. What a BUY! I love my printer, and now my scrapbooking got even more convienent. I always look for my supplies on ebay cause I try to find them cheaper then the Epson website.

I ordered an Epson CX8400 from Ebay after looking at several stores. The price was $30 less than any of the stores in town. I am very happy with the printer and how fast I received it. I would recommend this printer to anyone. It has all the features that anyone would need(scan, copy, print, photos)

It last a long time, cheap to run, small and out of the way. I do not know why they quit [ Epson ] making this machine. Maybe because the Epson Stylus CX4800 was to good of a machine and they were not making enough money. We run ours 12/7 for more then a year before we need a different machine. In our office we have four machine on every day. It is the best on the market for us. The only down fall is we have serious trouble running 65 paper through them for our post cards other then that I rate this machine Excellent.

THE CX84OO EPSON PRINTER ARRIVED IN A TIMELY MANNER,AND WORKS GREAT.THE REASON I BOUGHT IT WAS TO UP GRADE FROM A CX6400 PRINTER.THE PICTURES I'VE PRINTED ARE GREAT ,WHAT I LIKE ABUOT IT IS THAT IT USES THE SAME INK CARTRAGES AS MY OLD PRINTER.

perfect printer. i was going to pay about 100$ at walmart or any other department store, but i got it here for new half price and it works amazing!!!!

The reason that I had bought this all in one is because it makes my job easyier to do. After I had recieved it, I was amazed at how really well that it worked. I thought that I would have to buy ayy these extras for the all in one but I didn't have to. keep up the good work.

I have one. Plug in, pop in a CD if you have a computer, download your picture, and print your pictures. Also works as a scanner.

Tiny, tiny cartridges, not able to use compatible ink, only Epson ink, which is really expensive for the reduced size of the cartridge. Compared with my 3 prior Epsons, this is a huge disappointment, and I'm looking for another printer rather than continuing to pour money down this one.

Prints fast clear and clean. The ink drys very fast and does not smear. Can hold alot of paper.Pictures come out real nice. This is a great item.

I've had an HP Officejet that I was using and got tired of smudged ink. Went looking for an Epson because of the type of ink they provide. Ran across this company that does Epson with a Continuous Ink Supply installed. Greatest purchase I ever made. Excellent photo quality printing on photo paper. Great color on plain paper. NO smudging. Vivid color on iron on T-shirt transfers. Best of all . . . 800ml of refill ink costs the price of a regular cartridge, and it is dye ink (does not smudge). Paper feed is noisy and sometimes quirky but adequate for my needs. Copy function works well and reproduces excellent color copies. Have separate high resolution scanner so have not tried the scanner on this Epson.

EPSON PRINTERS I FIND TO BE THE BEST...THE ONLY NEGATIVE IS THEIR COST OF REPLACING INK. THE COST FOR THIS ITEM WAS VERY FAIR. THE DELIVERY WAS RAPID AND ACCURATE

I bought a set of 4 colors.I recieved them on time,but one of the colors (black)is not working-like it is empty.Next time I will buy from a diferent store.

The printer is fast, great colours. Price is great, Printer is worth its money. It also has the option to be refilled, which is great and i believe will be cheaper than buying new cartridges every time.
