Envy (DVD, 2004, Both Full Frame & Widescreen)

Ben Stiller and Jack Black are great together in this DVD. They are best friends, neighbors and work for the same company until Jack Black (Nick)comes up with a great invention that Ben Stiller (Tim) thought was dumb and didn't invest. A great movie to add to your comedy collection.

This movie should have been so much better with Black and Stiller. Total waste of my time and money. Jack Black's character is annoying throughout and I strained just to finish watching this movie.

I decided to purchase this because I have never seen it. Didn't realize it was such an old movie! Jack Black and Ben Stiller were SO young looking! The movie, tho, was really stupid. Dumb stupid....kind of thing you wouldn't waste your money on paying to see it at the movies......I think if they had changed the 'subject' matter of the movie, it might have been better. Oh, well!

I love anything with Jack Black, and Ben stiller for that matter. This was a dynamite match up of actors. Stiller lives next door to his best friend, (Black), whos obsurd invention "VaPOOrize" makes him an overnight billionaire. Stiler could have became parnters with Black but chose not too, and now he wish he had. Christopher Walken plays a happy-go-lucky bum whom wants to help Stiller but has plans of his own. Overall, a good movie. Could have been funnier. I did "laugh out loud" a few times. 4 of 5 stars.

I thought this was a pretty good movie. I especially like the idea of no matter how wealthy a person is they always have room in thier hearts for thier friends. Comedy was good also.

this is a rather strange movie, it gets your attention, but you have to watch it a couple of times to get the full effect of it. the movie shows how things can go wrong for you when others have stuff that you don't and how bad things all happen to you. they had bad things happen in their friendship but the friendship survived, so this movie just goes to show you your best friend can cause problems but hey you can always get over the problem, since problems are going to come and go, friends you want to keep around always.

I bought this movie for my brother. Me and my husband rented it and thought it was funny and I needed something to get my brother for his 21st birthday so we thought it would be a good gift. This is a slapstick comedy that I would say is like Shallow Hal in comedic value. I liked the fact that it was lighthearted and did not have the usual villan in the background waiting to ruind a perfectly good comedy.
SOme of it was a little TOO over the top for me but I am nearing thirty so I have to take into account that I might be outgrowing senseless movies. Totally a great movie for anyone in their late teens to early thirtys.

If you want an escape that affords laughs and crazy characters this film you will enjoy. Christopher Walken steals the show. His character is true Walken. Just watch it and enjoy the trip. A bit campy, but fun none the less.

mail.I wanted to but it becasue I love Jack Black- he is very funny. It was sealed like it had never been opened. I highly recommend it.
