Enemy of the State (DVD, 1999)

I think this is one of Will Smiths' beter movies.I enjoy all his movies because he puts every effort in making the movie a success.This is a excellent movie to watch.Gene Hackman ,Well he is the greatest and adds more to ths movie to make it enjoyable.A great Suspense movie.

I like Will Smith as an actor and I like the non-stop action that the movie has to offer. I decided to buy the movie because I'm trying to build my movie collection and the movie was the right price for me.

There is a lot of psychological view point in this film. This includes a lawer is secretly abandoned by his employeer, family, and looses then finacial effects. With that, there is a demand for change. It also involves another issue which can relate to national security in the nations and what can happened to a person who is invovled in it and the way it changes their lives.

If you a looking for a film with holds so much secretive doings, this is the one!!

I had the original VHS / and watched it about 50 times. Everytime i learned something different.Now more than ever, everyone should see this, to enhance their knowledge about todays day and age of telecommunications. The SHOCKER is : all this had been going on since the 40's......during the war/ and was enhanced later. The setting is in the late 90's, with not much changing. IN short, the more sophisticated the 'tools', the easier it is to snatch everything OUT of the airwaves, computers, .....anything. Big brother has been here longer than we think. Beware Facebook / MySpace users/ THE NET is crawling with observers. No one is anonymous anymore....and as it states in the ORIGINAL VHS (this DVD was altered that I ordered, i have to buy a new one)......the only privacy one has is between his ears, and that too might be in jeorpardy. THE CHILLING LINE: 9/11 is almost described prophetically to a "T". Especially when the NASA DIR says his birthday is 9/11. A MUST SEE, OWN, STUDY!!!!!!!! This is superior, and had to have been written by someone who has had experience in that area. Will Smith is awesome as is Gene Hackman! WOW , wow, and wow is all that I can say!!!!

PLEASE PLEASE order this, but look for the ORIGINAL...... unopened.!!!!!!!!!

I loved this movie because Will Smith is such a great actor. He's funny, he can be serious and he can also play that soft and emotional role. There wasn't anything I didn't like about the movie. I bought the movie because it was exciting and it had a bit of reality in it as far as the gov being able to tap into our private lives.

Good movie overall. alot of action, and surprises. Keep you guessing, and wondering if this the real future where nothing is private. What I dislike; It had a slow start building up, but worth the wait. I would give it a B, or B plus. I would recommand it.

what a magnificent actor, just when you think you have seen the best movie he has ever made he goes on to make even better. this is a great movie ,a really must see,... me ,I bought it so I could watch it as much as I want.

I said hold on because you will be right in this one. I ask a friend that knows a bit about the NSA and he said they can't do what is in the movie I think they can of course. Lost of fun and a great watch!

It took a little longer than expected, but explanation sent with package. so customer took time to consider that it was delayed and give an appropriate explanation.

The item arrived in good condition. I was a little unhappy about the DVD case that it came in. It was not like a normal dvd case, kind of look like someone made this at home. Other than that I have no problems with this item.

I like pretty much ever movie Will Smith has done to date and when I fould this movie on ebay I just had to get it and it was a great price as well in great cond, being used and I can see myself buying from ebay for movies any day.

I had a copy of "Enemy of the State" and thought I'd lost it, so I purchased one from e-bay and I'm highly satisfied.

I like this movie because it is intriguing, very complex, and plausible. I also like the main characters; Gene Hackman and Will Smith. It shows how fragile democracy is and if powerful people go unchecked, we could easily become a dictatorship. I regret the amount of swearing in the movie. Otherwise, I recommend the movie.

Think this isn't real? Think again. The Government has the technology to do all that you see. The person in the movie could be you. Remember, Big Brother is watching and he doesn't live in a foreign country.

I love this movie because it a fast action movie and I wanted to add to my other favorite movie collection. I would recommend this movie to everyone they will enjoy this movie also.

We were watching part of it on TV and didn't get to watch the ending, so I decided to buy it. It is an intense film. It was very good!

While movies in particular have can have many appealing and dislike features toa great variety of audiences, I liked this movie and the nature of the story. I felt the acting was excellent by each of the main characters and by that I mean they were quite convincing in the characters they were playing. I deeply regret that the movie industry has let profanity become almost a natural place in the dialog. My reason for purchase was to add to my collection of DVD's of movies I have enjoyed over the years and don't mind seeing on a repeat basis.
