This book is appropriate for the backyard gardener to Off-The-Grid lifestyles. Not only will you receive Carla's long-time knowledge but she includes comments and how-to's of others she has received over the years. "The Encyclopedia of County Living" is a wealth of knowledge for any aspect of living off the land!

    I think this is one of the best books ever written. If you want to know what it's really like to live in the country, this is the book to read. It is also great just for the entertainment value, alone. Carla writes like she talks, very down to earth. I know of NO other 'how to' country book that comes close to the accuracy of presenting how real country life is lived. She pulls no punches, tells it like it is, the good, bad and ugly.
