Enchanted (Blu-ray Disc, 2008)

"Enchanted" more than lives up to its title. A full-blown musical that commutes between Disney's patented cartoon universe and the "real" world with cleverness and grace, this splashy production reminds one of nothing in the Disney canon so much as "Mary Poppins," not least due to the "star is born" aura that surrounds Amy Adams here, just as it did Julie Andrews 43 years ago. Comparison between the two films will certainly extend to their popularity, as the new one will please nearly all audiences all the time on its flight to the place where B.O. dreams come true.

This was an excellent movie. It starts off with that majestyk vintage old fashioned fairytale setting then changes before your eyes. Changes to a real life fairytale and is really well put together. This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. My daughter absolutely loved it.

This is the Best Disney's movie of the year, Second to THE GAME PLAN..This movie is a MUST BUY..You will not be Disapointed .

This is a Disney classic. Pure and simple. The musical score must rank in the top 2 or 3 Disney films. If you are deciding between blu-ray and DVD the choice here is not even close. The extras with the blu-ray are remarkable. Included is a game in which you watch the entire movie with periodic multiple choice questions which show the movie's ties to previous Disney films. Well worth the time and money!

I haven't seen this video myself, but I bought it as a gift for my grandchildren, especially my 6 yr.old granddaughter. According to the family they all loved it, which made me very happy! NANA

High quality movie.I bought the Enchanted DVD few weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive BD Disk. Overall, I'd recommend the DVD if you're on a budget.

Disney has produced another 'Beautiful Princess' movie that, surely, will last
'forever and ever'. The movie 'Enchanted' starts in classic Disney 2d animation
in the beautiful land of Andalsia, where the lovely forest maiden, Giselle, lives with her animal friends, dreaming of meeting her handsome prince, and she does, culminating in the obligatory duet of Prince Edward and Giselle riding off into the sunset. That's just the beginning! We then get an evil Queen, Narissa, sending the beautiful Giselle to a 'Never never land' where true love and forerever and ever don't exist. Manhattan, NY. The movie then changes from animation to reality where we meet the beautiful soon-to-be princess Giselle(Amy Adams in a star-making roll) as she wanders the streets of Manhattan in an incredibly unwieldy wedding-ball gown trying to find her prince, Edward(James Marsden) in the real-life world of New York. Amy Adams is incredible and the cast is great. Her joyous beauty puts a shine and glitter on this film that makes you care and love this little beauty. It is truly a moment to watch a star being born. It's a wonderful film for all..even the adults will have fun with this gem. Of course there are things you can critique but all in all it's one of my favorite films. The musical numbers, alone, are worth the purchase, my favorite being the wonderfully, huge production in Central Park where the music changes to a hip, reggae feel, to the 'Working Song' in her soon-to-be, 'true love's(Patrick Dempsey) apartment.
You have to see the movie to fill in all the holes I have left you, but suffice it to say, This is one of the finest films I have ever seen and on 'Blu-Ray' the hi-def is incredible. The cast is fantastic, the music is wonderful, and the direction and editing are top-notch, but get this movie just to see the 'coming-out-party' for a new star, Amy Adams!

I loved the game they have on there. That you can't get on the DVD. It shows to you so very much that you didn't even know what there. I love it so very much.

My wife saw this movie and loved it. It really is a chic flic, but well done, creative and looks really good on blu ray.

I thought I bought a BLU RAY Enchanted DVD. But when I got it it was nothing but a cheap import from China. I didn't want it at all, and the seller had a return policy for a full refund. SO I emailed the seller severial times and had no responce. I then got the sllers contact info from ebay and called the seller. The person who answered was not the seller and was very rude and started cursing at me. I then did get ahold of the real person and they said I would get a check in the mail for my refund. That never happend. This was a very poor poor seller and situation. Whould not refer to anybody AT ALL!

It is a new twist on the old prince and princess fairy tale.Also the comedy in the movie is really good and I would recommend this movie to kids and parents to watch.This is a good family night movie to watch in your living room and uneventful night to lighten the day.So in conclusion this is a definite disney movie to have in your collection of movies.

Good Disney film with wicked witch and beautiful princess. In the end love wins again. Special effects are excellent. Good entertaining movie with uplifting musical scores.

The mix between animation and real people is quite enjoyable. The animated characters are very closed to the real characters.

I bought this movie because my family and I really enjoyed it in the movie theater. I didnt really have high expectations for the movie. I went for the wife and kids. I have to say i was impressed there was enough to keep me interested the whole way through. I recommend this movie to anybody looking for a PLAIN OLD GOOD FAMILY FUN MOVIE!

the blu ray version is as different as night and day from the standard version
there is an interactive game within the movie that have to guess what "Enchanted" has
with other Disney classics
ill be it it doesnt exactly take you to where you left off
but it was close enough
its really fun
and i got in on blu ray for the high def for my ps3
the only down part it that it only works in blu ray players and with high def tvs
but other than that i love it
one of my favorite disney movies of all time

I love this movie. I saw it in theaters and had very low expectations because it is made by disney, but it made me laugh multiple time and I hardly ever laugh atmovies anymore. A very good movie I would recomend it to children over 8ish and to anyone who is still a child at heart.

This movie is adorable! My daughter loves it and I am happy we have a movie I enjoy watching as well. It's funny and witty with enough magic to keep the kiddos interested. If you have a child who scares easily, you may not want them to see it, gets a little scary at the end. Blu-ray is an amazing way to watch a movie, very crisp and clean images. Although, blu-ray discs only play in a blu-ray player, so I was a little disappointed I couldn't put this movie on in the play room. But, overall, very happy with the purchase!

I bought this movie for my 3 girls AND for me!! We all saw it in the theatre and I just had to have it...I have never laughed so hard in my life. I loved princess animated movies growing up (Cinderella, Snow white, etc) and this movie incorporated all of the greats into one soon-to-be-princess Giselle. I don't know how Disney did it, but she was so "princessy" that she was almost making fun of all the other princesses that Disney has done - Brilliant - by the way - and yet she was such a joy to get to know!! My girls and I loved the half animation half real life joy ride that this movie takes you on. I have to say the scene (no, I am not giving anything away) where she calls the city creatures to help her clean the apartment..I swear I about peed my pants!! This movie is very enjoyable for any age, very clean language, appropriate for any age and sooo entertaining for any age. I highly recommend it for anyone who has ever loved, or even liked, a princess movie. Well done!!

I loved this movie. For one Innocent quality of fairytale romance as it is captured for Cinderella,The little Mermaid...coming to life. The singing was beautiful (of course I sang along) The dance scene in the Park was so fun. And Patrick Dempsey is so cute. His daughter is adorable in that she is not yet jaded. And he needs to be won over to romance. He is a hard reality NY. And the ball, of course he is an handsome prince charming. And he starts singing to her....ahhh. I loved it. Susan Sarandon was good also. Her suitor did not have to give up his romantic ideals either though they did not work out. And Amy Adams is just beautiful. How will she know....
