Enchanted April (DVD, 2009)

Great, Relaxing Movie. I saw a part of it on TV one night, and enjoyed it. So, I went to Blockbuster to rent it, but it wasn't there! I couldn't find the movie anywhere, but EBAY!! Bought it, it came quickly & was able to have a pleasant evening watching it with my mother & grandmother. Appropriate for all ages, but definitely a Chick Flick.

If you're feeling like you need a vacation but no time to get away - this movie leaves you refreshed!
One of my top 5 favorite movies.

The story is very escapist, and, actually, quite trite; but very, very enjoyable: A neglected, Edwardian era, wife would like to enjoy a getaway in an Italian villa which can accommodate multiple guests, so she invites 3 other women; and during the vacation, each of these women, and their respective significant others learn how to slow down and appreciate life. (Ironically, the most belligerent characters in this story, are actually the most entertaining.) In spite of the inanity of the plot line, it's very, very enjoyable entertainment. If you are dubious, rent it first; but you will probably enjoy it once you view it.

A fine traditional situation that is heart warming & well written. The kind of movie that I would LOVE to see more of - true human emotion without violence.

... But your wife will love it! I can't tell you how many times my mother sat me down and tried to get me to watch this. It's actually her favorite movie. She finally trapped me and made me watch it, and it's a pretty cool film. I'd definitely recommend it for your mother or girlfriend!
