Empire Records REMIX Special Fan Edition
Review created: 02/19/09(updated 03/12/09)

This movie is definitely not something for children as it has several subjects in it that are adult subjects, not to mention sexual situations. But it's hilarious for anyone to watch!
Set in a mid-90's music store, Empire Records takes place over the period of one day in the life of the workers there. After one of the employees takes the $9,000 deposit from the store and gambles it away in Atlantic City, the other employees find out about it and struggle to find out why. Lucky for the employees, this all also happens on 'Rex Manning Day,' where a washed-up older singer tries to make a come-back and visits the store to sign autographs for his customers...and gets himself into a lot of trouble with two of the hottie employees.
Not a lot of big name people, but definitely people you would recognize. Liv Tylor and Rene Zellweger are probably two of the biggest names. Robin Tuney (also in The Craft) plays a big part in this movie; along with Anthony LaPaglia (television's 'Without a Trace'), Rory Cochrane ('Dazed and Confused'), and Ethan Embry ('Can't Hardly Wait', 'Dutch', and 'National Lampoons Vegas Vacation').
I believe this is considered and indie film since it never really made it big, and some even consider it a more-modern cult film. I think it's a hilarious film that any adult 18 or over should see at least once to form their own view. Goes down in my books at funny and an acquired taste! :)
