This is one of those great teen movies were everything seems hopless but works out for the best in the end, The soundtrack is amazing and the story about the band of misfit teens who work in a record store will keep you emotionally involve for the whole of the film, Enjoy!!

) Based on the overall quality and acting in this movie, it may not be an A+. But the music, the vibes, the emotions and feelings that were so prominent in the 90s are portrayed perfectly here. This movie is about a group of teens/young adults who work in an independent record store that is about to be taken over by a large chain. Through their struggle to stay free from 'the man', then find out who they are. Mock funerals, perscription pills, sex, shoplifting, and desperation fuel this movie. Anyone who grew up in the 90s will feel a strong connection to the characters in this movie.

) I love this movie, it is one of my favorites. It's funny, charming and is one of those movies you can watch over and over again. I decided to buy the original DVD release because it's the theatrical version and in my opinion is the better version. THe other version(The Remix), they changed parts of the movie, including the ending and the original ending has more substance. 10/10

Cult ClassicThis movie has become a cult like classic. See the starts before they were really famous. Very well directed and written. Very funny and entertaining! This movie has the best soundtrack that I have heard in a very long time!

I love this movie becasue it is very real to life! It has a fabulous cast and the storyline if just awsome! It makes you feel like you are living thier lives! I love it and recommend it to EVERYONE!

Don't watch the Remix version EVER!!!Review created: 04/05/07

I really like this movie. It has a great soundtrack that flows perfectly with the movie's action. Lucas is my favorite charactor. Watch the movie and you'll know why. You can feel the depth of the relationship between him and his legal guardian, Joe (nothing gay). Liv does a great job being sad and pouty. Rene did a good job, especially singing at the end. The other charactors bring their appropriate energies to the table. The casting was perfect and the location had a very good feel to it. Oh, in case you didn't read the title don't watch/buy the Remix: Special Edition. The "remix" mixed up everything so bad that, not only did they screw up the flow of the movie, the dialogue doesn't match the actors lips in some instances! When going to find this movie, look for the cover with the WHITE background. If it's blue, buy and burn it. It is unclean! It is the remix that must not be named. They stopped making copies of the original, so it might be hard to find. Again, white cover good, blue cover bad! Happy hunting and enjoy!
