This is a merit badge pamhplet (MBP) from the Boy Scouts of America. Merit badges are subject-related areas that Boy Scouts can learn about & the pass requirements off to earn a patch. There have been several different types (particularly the covers) of MBPs over the years.
The Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge is a required merit badge for Eagle Scout. Required badges are more frequently worked on than elective merit badges. I used an earlier version of this pamphlet when I was a youth, 1st in earning the badge, then as an instructor helping younger boys to earn it. The book covers topics like first aid, emergency preparedness situations, how to save lives, community emergnecy service, crowd & traffic control, emergency mobilization plans, & resources. There are black & white illustrations & photographs throughout the book.
A 1997 printing of the 1995 copyright has a BSA catalog #33368.
