Elvis & June by Jeffrey Schrembs

Even though we have (almost) every article, book, magazine, novel, etc. ever made - written about - etc., concerning Elvis Presley, I recently watched "Elvis and June: A Love Story" for the first time.
In spite of my (sadly) deteriorating medical condition, as a result of being hit from behind while at a stop light, I was captivated by the honesty - beauty - and story of June Juanica.
Elvis fell in love with June in 1955. The pictures of June, taken during her time with Elvis, confirm that June was a BEAUTIFUL Southern Bell. What, nor do they ever, the photographs do not "disclose" is the fact that June is (if possible) MORE beautiful...as a person/woman.
Her sense of humor, recollection of events, BRUTAL honesty, wit, and character transform this story of "young love" into a RIVITING (and emotionally rewarding) roller coaster of a relationship/story between Elvis and June.
Gladys Presley was the ULTIMATE "firewall" between Elvis and the World. There is no doubt that Gladys APPROVED of June and that, my friends, is better than "Consumer Reports" or the "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval".
No one will ever (sadly) know what would have happened if Elvis and June had continued their relationship, yet we cannot help but to contemplate the scenarios in our imagination, but (somehow) the relationship that did exist seems...right.
True Love, in our humble opinion, stands the "test of time". In the case of "Elvis & June: A Love Story" both the DVD, and the book, are wonderfully refreshing and we are proud to HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.
THANK YOU to June Juanica for allowing us to "share" in your story...and in your life.
Whether you are an Elvis Presley fan, or not, this is a RIVITING Love Story that is...timeless.

Footnote: We recently became aware that June Juanica is undergoing medical care for a serious health issue. Our thoughts, hopes for a full recovery, and prayers are with June and her family.
