I decided I wanted a DVD of the Elvis - '68 Comeback because I am an Elvis fan and all I had was the VHS version. The price was great so I got it. The DVD is great -- so clear and better than I expected. I love it!!

This was Elvis in his prime. He's tan rested and ready to perform in this comeback special. He touches hearts of woman and sings like he is King. He wears the famous black leather pants. He shares favorites and lets a little of his Gospel side out of him. If you are an Elvis fan--you must see this special. If you are new to Elvis--watch it and see for yourself how come he is the King.

I thought this would be the TV special as it was originally broadcast. Instead it was a mix of the broadcast and other clips. You would be better served to rent this movie at Netflix or Blockbusters than purchase it.

Folks this is television history. The King at his very best. If you are remotely an Elvis fan this is a must see video. If you dont own the 68' Comeback Special video then you probably are not an Elvis fan at all.

Elvis took a hit to the jaw in the sixties, primarily from the Beatles, but he never went down. In this tv special the king flexes his muscle with a stripped down combo, in an intimate setting. Clad in black leather, looking fit and trim and in great voice he wasn't really "coming back", he was throwing his weight around. Great dvd for the "E" fanatic or the casual fan.

I was only ten when Elvis first became popular in the mid-50's so I liked
him but he was never my favorite. However in 1968 when Elvis made this
Comeback Special I could realize how good he really was. Elvis in his mid
30's was never more powerful, never better looking and at the peek of his
career. Most artists start out great and just hang on. The great ones like
Elvis, Dylan, Sinatra, Stones, etc. just keep getting better. I realized
with this performance that Elvis was just not a singer and record maker but
a top class performer
him but he was never my favorite. However in 1968 when Elvis made this
Comeback Special I could realize how good he really was. Elvis in his mid

I purchased this disc because of the good quality picture and sound now found on most of these older titles. Of course, the fact it was "Elvis" made alot of difference. because it represents a time that there was real music out there. not this "black rap crap" that has all but wrecked the music industry.

'68 Comeback is a very important concert of Elvis Presley and I have also have a collection of Elvis' all albums, movies and old records.I have been collecting concert DVDs of Elvis so the DVD is very valuable. If you are a fun of The King, you should buy it.

All 4 DVD's I purchased are bootlegs. 1 didn't work at all. Bought the Crossroads DVD which is a charity concert and proceeds of DVD sales are supposed to go to Eric Clapton's rehab foundation.

I found a special a genuine DVD for my friend at work.While he was working one of my co-workers were asking do you know anybody that will be able to get a genuine DVD of the Elvis comeback special of 1967 but it was 1968 after a research on EBay. They were asking are sure that is safe to order on EBay and I say never had a problem since 1999. When I saw the DVD on EBay without any hesitation I place an order a week after it was in my mail box as usual so from now on anybody want to know about eBay safety record I always say it is safer than any store in Canada and better prices than any other places. So thanks a million for EBay that allowed me to sell part of my immense collection of records too without any problem.

Loved to be able to see him at his finest time musically - his voice still had the strength, depth and beauty that none can copy. He was still absolutely beautiful physically and had such an incredible charisma. Loved all but 10 minutes of the show when the dancing and '60s go go thing turned me off...but, he shone....saw the original when I was 10 years of age & still remember how dynamic he came across. If you love/like Elvis - this is the ultimate time to remember - the most perfect space he was ever in - although written of as a troubled soul - this performance was filled with gentle humor, passion, great music and it seemed a real connection to his audience. Beautiful video!!! Decided to buy it when talking to an old friend who had seen the original telecast with me - well worth the money - what a great memory....as he sang "sweetened thru the ages just like wine....sweet memories"
