I purchased the game for my 4 year old grand-daughter thinking it might help her to learn the numbers but it seemed to be too advanced for her until she learns what the numbers look like.

I bought this game when my oldest son was 3. He absolutely loved playing it, and in nothing flat could recognized almost all of his numbers. It is a simple, bright game that kids will love.

Pros:
Very Educational,Fun and Cute

Cons:
none

My husband bought this "Sesame Street Number Journey" a few months ago for our granddaughter. This is a great educational game for kids learning their numbers. Our granddaughter learned her numbers very quickly. Thanks to this game she can now count to 40 and she just turned 2 years old.I would rather spend my money buying educational toys for her than to buy toys that she wouldn't benefit from. There are many different levels with this game and each level has some difficulties, plus a bonus level. This game is very encouraging for kids to keep playing because it is fun and exciting for them.You..

Pros:
Wonderful learning tool!

Cons:

We bought our boys a Playstation as a joint Christmas gift this year. I have a ten year old and a three year old. I wanted to get our three year old a game he could play as well as one that would be fun and educational. Elmo's Number Journey fits the bill! It is fun, captivating, and educational. It is self-explanatory for a preschooler, so they don't need a lot of help from mom and dad. The bottom left-hand corner shows a controller highlighting the buttons the child needs to push in order to play the game. Elmo also explains which buttons to push and how to play the game. The game features..

Pros:
Promotes learning of numbers

Cons:
that there is not more areas of play

I got this game thru a gift certificate won at BuyBidWin.com, and thought it might help my 5 year old son with learning his numbers while having fun. Well that was a great idea, and it worked totally. When it came in the mail, he was so excited to get it, and played it almost immediately. He had a little problem at first, then he really got into it, and really started picking out the right numbers. This is good for children ages 3-6 with number recognitions and basic math skills. 3 Skill levels easily adjustable by parent or child Features voices from the beloved TV show After picking the..

  Counting on Elmo
Review created: 04/05/00

Pros:
educational, fun, somewhat challenging so the child is not easily bored.

Cons:
Music that gets stuck in your head, Elmos voice (but if you dont mind Elmo, you probably wont notice)

As a nanny for the past three years, I enjoy anything that allows for a small break from the yelling and screaming! One of the little boys I watch picked up Elmo's game in the store and begged his mom to get it for him. With much skeptisism, she bought it, thinking it may be a way to also enjoy some quiet time. When she got home, he immediately wanted to play it. She popped it into the Playstation and handed him a control. Being only 2 years old, she assumed her son would have a good time pressing buttons and not actually playing. When the Elmo screen popped up and the music began, her sons...

Pros:
different levels and scenerios

Cons:
a bit pricey

I have played many many video games.. and was a bit skeptical when this game first came out. It seemed too "cutesy" and the price for the game was a turn off too. I rented the game for my son to get to know the game some more. My son is four years old and preschool.. He's getting to learn his numbers and alphabet... so I really wanted to try this game out. He was really excited about playing, but I was more concerned about its educational level and wether or not it was worth the 40 bucks(what it was advertised for at the time). I noticed that my son picked up on the numbers quickly, not only..
