very fast service, and arrived in perfert condition. thank you very much. I have looked for this movie for years. I recieved my
MBA in 1960, and did a report on this movie and all its componts of the views of religions. I find it would so fit into days drive for faith, and the faith healers. are they true or not. and exceptional movie. high recommend it for all to see.

If you don't have this gem in your collection your missing out on one of the finest movies ever made.

There should be a rating that reads "Beyond Excellent"! This is a movie for the ages.Lancaster won for best actor and Shirley Jones won for best supporting. Why Jean Simmons did not get the nod for her role in this terrific movie is beyond my comprehension. Although it is fifty + years old,it is timeless in it's message. If you only buy one movie this year,make it this one!

This man was a first rate fraud who had absolutely no problem with using anything, anyone and any belief to get what he wanted. That he went a little nutty in the end was quite fitting.

The movie is great, but I ended up having to buy it from another supplier and eating this purchase, because it didn't come in time.

The video is very fine. The beginning music sounds flat, perhaps due to time, but that is a minor flaw in a great presentation and great service.

Elmer Gantry has a great plot. The movie was not just a group of scenes depicting sex and violence. The subject was tastefully handled and written for adults. It is easy to see why Burt Lancaster won an oscar for his excellent portrayal of Elmer Gantry. The supporting staff performed equally well. Shirley Jones small part made the movie. The ending was perfect. The saint went from saint to sinner to saint. It is compelling to watch. The movie was in DVD format and reasonably priced. Having waited to see this movie since 1961, the wait was worth it. I will be viewing this movie again soon. I wish there were more movies like this one being made today. There are no negatives.
