One of the best anime I have ever seen. Truely inspiring. It made me smile, laugh, and even cry. It was so good, even, that i decided to buy the series. Check it out and see for yourself.

Not for the young, this is a show meant for adults. I personally was affected emotionally by it. Not many things can do that. So sad, yet so funny at times. Well worth buying and watching over, and over.

Horror titles don't come out as often as the others but this one should be able to leave a lasting impression. That's assuming that you can handle extreme graphic violence. Elfen Lied is about excellent sound production, great work of art, and lots of gory scenes. It can already be said that the first scene of the first episode is jaw-droppingly violent. Be forewarned.

If you're in the mood for extremely graphic dismemberment and blood everywhere, this is the movie for you. After the initial violence hook at the beginning, it develops some very good plot twists further in. This is going to be a film primarily for a male adolescent audience because of the crude violence and generous female nudity. However, because most of the characters are female, there are some good lover's quarrels and female rivalry sub-plots that women might identify with also. Overall, it's certainly one of the most memorable anime's I've ever seen.

Product was fine. Seller ignored multiple e-mails and messages and did not reply. It was shipped to wrong address. Gave negative feedback and finally got his attention. He got mad and said "I hope you have enjoyed this." and that I liked to give negatives. I tried to work it out with him multiple ways but he never responded. Seller is OK to buy from.

Elfen Lied. One of the greatest series I've ever seen.I love everything about this series, maybe it's full of blood and things like that, but the story is more that that.

I love this series though and wish there was more. If you can get past the gore, you will fall in love with Lucy and the true innocence of her character.

ELfen Lied is one of the new century classics. Years from now dozens and dozens of series will be only remembered by hardcore fans but Elfen Lied will prevail in the minds of mainstream fans. Naked girls covered in blood? YOu got it! But not only that, it has a deep stoyline and very good character development. My friends and I laugh about how in the "gory" scenes you never see any kind of organs (except for the heart in the 1st episode) and omg! the girls actually have nipples! (unlike Rei Ayanami and such)
Not for the weak of heart (or stomach) this series is a perfect introduction to your "Anime sucks" friends. :)

) i was looking for some good anime i havent seen before and this title kept coming up so i thought id give it a shot. i thought it was kinda short.. the complete series is only 13 episodes, im use to stories being much longer.. but i really liked this. i would suggest Elfen Lied to anyone who likes anime

This is a fave of the old mans. But, only the Japanese version, in Japanese.
Throw away the Americanized version....trash, garbage. Too puritanized.
EL is wack, narcisistic and Fued/jung/Id as all git out, just like the writers meant it to be.
It is a thesis on American Male Dominated Culture of Supply & demand based on Greed & Sex & large Corporations feeding fat from the tit of the american people and oil and chemical/drug companies....and how they will kill to keep it that way.
The corporations invent anything they want...DICLONIUS....try to control it and if it steps out of line.....SEND IN THE ASSASSINS & KILL IT!
An excellent DVD of extreme high quality with a superior story and artwork.
