Elementary Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems by Richard C. Diprima, William E. Boyce (2004, Package)

I have nothing against the seller of this book, but i do however have one against the shipping details. i ordered my book in the last week of december and still have not gotten yet, and it is now Feb. 7. i am currently in the middle of my second quarter and need the book badly but still dont have it. unfortunately i cannot comment on the quality of the book seeing as i dont have it yet.

Not an entirely bad book to learn from, but there seems to be an abundance of theory and a bit of a lack of guided examples. This isn't necessarily a bad thing though; the book certainly covers the material related to differential equations in a systematic and concrete way, but if one is looking for a more instructive text, it may be helpful to consider other sources.

Overall: a good book.
Pro: There is solution of every single problem for the sub-chapter exercise.
Con: There is not enough example for understanding the problem in every chapter.

It's a great book with a lot of examples. Very well organized and included the answers to every problem, not just the odd ones.

It took almost two months for me to receive my book from the seller. The seller happens to live in the same town as me, and he lived approximately 5 miles away. The seller sent me a notification about two weeks after I purchased the book, that said it had been shipped. However, that was not the case. After I had found the sellers information and contacted him he sent me a reply about a week later. We met up, and I was given the book. The whole process took about two months. I was very displeased.

I purchased the book simply because it was required for MA 266 at Purdue. However, this book is like my TA, confusing and utterly useless. It'll give you a general idea of what's going on but won't really tell you anything specific. You'll be completely lost on 50% or more of the homework assignments. Not sure why Purdue insists on using this book when clearly there are more helpful alternatives.

I bought this for a class and it is a great text book. There are good examples and clear explanations. The material is difficult but not too bad.

The guy never delivered my product and walked away with my $60, and i checked after i purchased the product that this is a scam that people are doing. It's just as much ebays fault for not setting up a system to catch these thieves. Because of this incident i will never use ebay again, and this is the first time i ever had any sort of issues with online purchases.

Some sections on the book seem confusing and unclear. For example, I do not really like how the section on "Existence and Uniqueness Theorem" was written. The author does not state the heart of the section in a way that is easy to understand. However, when it gets to example problems, it becomes easier to see the essence of the topic that is being discussed.

The school is almost end, but I haven't received my textbook. I contacted seller several times and submitted file claim. However, I have never heard any response from seller or eBay. I will definitely not buy anything on eBay half.
