El Hazard: The Alternative World - Box Set (DVD, 2003)

El Hazard is amazing. Simply put, one of the most original and colorful anime series I have ever seen. It his hilarious to watch and once you start, you will quickly devour this series down, episode after episode. Our hero and his self proclaimed arch rival are brought into El Hazard to fulfill a prophecy. But there is a twist, you see once in El Hazard, they each gain a special power. As they learn their powers and explore this new world, they face adventure and danger around each turn, and some even find love. There is not really much violence aside from some fighting and magic type battles but it's not really a blood and guts type of series. You will be watching, then all of a sudden something will have you rolling around laughing for a while. This is a show that has underlying adult humor that you have to be quick to catch, yet the younger viewers might not understand it just yet.

PROS - Truly original world with characters you enjoy watching
