When this show first started on Cartoon Network, I wasn't impressed with the artwork, so I dismissed it. However, CN eventually changed its lineup and pushed Ed, Edd, and Eddy between two other shows I watched. So, instead of flipping channels, I decided to tolerate the 1/2 until my next show.
I was pleasantly surprised at the writing and the character interaction. If you can forgo the art styling (it grows on you), this show actually takes one back to childhood.
Adults will get a kick at the very, very obscure references to things kids won't even notice. For example, Ed is in a pond and is describing his day but if you watch the background closely, you can see bubbles appearing behind him (letting gas go while in the pond). There are a ton of these jewels in this series and I highly recommend all to try it out once, even if you have to rent the DVD.
Note: If you're a digital cable subscriber, CN offers On-Demand Ed, Edd, and Eddy programs. While they're the current series, you can still view a few without spending a dime.
