The Economics of Money, Banking, And Financial Markets by Frederic S. Mishkin (2006, Hardcover)

An excellent read for college students and/or people who just want to study economics. Mishkin fully utilizes real life examples and problems in the text to convey a crystal clear picture to his readers.

Although sometimes the equations introduced in the books can be very intimidating. But this problem can be solved with a little hands on practice with the questions at the end of each chapter.

Also much practice can also be incorporated with EconLab software offered online.

Purchased book at a much reduced cost and was not sure what to expect. The book was exactly the same as the american except it paperback. Worked out great and I saved money. Shipped fast also.

Nice book, used for a college class, but in general, easy reading material in the first few chapters then gets challenging, has details on how the Federal Reserve System tries to control money supply in the economy etc. Overall, nice read to increase your general knowledge about how things work as far as banking and money supply is concerned.

easy to understand language. is very useful to understand the material. have a lot of information about banking, so good to keep it with you even after semester, if you want to go in banking industry.

It was fast delivery. It didn't have much highlighting which is good. It is in good condition which is great. no ripes or tears in it.

The guy gave me the right book, but it is a book that is supposed to not be sold in the United States. Now I am stuck with this book and can not trade it in. The overall service was excellent though. It was at my door real fast.

bought this book for a class, it was helpful and in good condition. I paid extra to my seller for priority shipping but it still took 8 days to get here. Also, the picture of the book cover is of the textbook hardcover edition, which is one of the reasons i bought it thinking that I could sell it back at the end of the semester. However, the seller sent me the paperback so now I can't sell it back to the bookstore :(

The Economics of Money, Banking, And Financial Markets is a good intro text but lacks any rigorous quantitative analysis and provides little to no mathematical equations to back up claims made by the author.

I bought th three is book about three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the good quality on this inexpensive book. It had very good quality with clean title page. The book's size is as usual as other textbook that makes you put it in your northface backpack. Other books I've purchased have very expensive price. Overall, I'd recommend the book if you're on a budget.

I'm very disappointed because i've never recieved the book and it was paid for. My clase is almost over and i never got the chance to even read the book i had paid for and I haven't gotten my money bace either... This was my first time buying and it's going to be my last...

This "International version" has virtually everything that the hardcover does, except the price! I was hesitant about buying this version at first, thinking that it may not cover some materials. I am extremely satisfied with this book and recommend it to anyone who needs it for a class.
Just remember, you school's book store may not buy back this version! But at the possible price this item goes for, you will end up at least breaking even when compared to the difference in hardcover price minus bookstore buyback. Plus you get to keep the book!
