I was in the middle of cutting a seasons worth of wood when my other saw died. I bought a CS-400 without doing research, but relied on the Echo reputation. Turns out it was a good choice. This saw is strong, and it cranks easily. Straight cuts through some thick oak, and pretty quiet for a chainsaw. Don't waste your money on other brands, the air filter and spark plug are easy to acess.
