Movie Description This music-score-enhanced silent film follows the circuitous path of a woman's love life from an older abusive husband to an affair with a young painter to her present marriage to a sweet young man who knows nothing of her past. Hitchcock uses crafted fades and close-ups, as well as dolly shots that anticipate the modern zoom lens. EASY VIRTUE is based on the play by Noel Coward, with a script by Hitchcock's longtime collaborator, Eliot Stannard.
