I bought this as a Christmas gift for my grandson. He loves his easy bake oven and I was having trouble getting some of the package foods for him for christmas and I decided to get him a cookbook so that he could cook with regular food. He has truly loved the cookbook, and we were able to bake a surprise for his parents for Christmas.

) I bought this book a last month for my daughter.Ii was brand new just as shown
in the pics.I do not know how much use my daughter will get out of this book
because of the level of cooking skill that it will take to make many of the things in the book.Next time I will only buy if some of the things in the book
are shown or told about.It might by fun for a adult but this is not a child book even thought you make them in a childs toy.I think it would have been nice to know this upo front.I see many childrens books that say gourment and
are still for children.But still a nice book for adults.

It's surprising how popular the easy bake ovens still are today. And, if you grew up with one of the "originals" then you may be surprised to learn just how popular those are even today. This book is perfect for all ages - the petite gourmet of today's easy bake ovens and the moms, dads, cousins, and grandparents of all ages inbetween. Can't you just imagine an easy bake oven cook-off, with each of the various models through the years represented? You can bake some seriously tasty food if you use this book. So, why not spend some quality time with another easy bake lover AND create food worthy of this American classic?

) When I first saw this book, I was thinking to myself, "GET REAL! Now I've seen everything!" Then I took a closer look and realized that this was a really cute book about one of America's favorite toys, The Easy-Bake Oven. It has recipes from some of the most popular chefs like Bobby Flay and Rachael Ray. The chefs tell of their childhood memories pertaining to the oven making it even more fun. This book also covers the history of the Easy-Bake Oven which I found interesting. The photos of all the ovens brought back memories for me and I could pretty much remember where I had seen the different models and which friend had them.
If I saw any downfalls to this book it would be the ingredient content (unusual and pricey)of some of the recipes, but it is a gourmet book and I wasn't surprised that some of the recipes would be a little complicated. If anything, I was amused that these chefs could actually come up with something that tasted delicious even though it was cooked with a light bulb!!

) How I came to discover this charming little book has slipped my mind, but it was a happy discovery. Last Christmas I bought an Easy-Bake oven for my granddarling, who turned nine the day after Christmas. She quickly ran through the mixes, then a second and third set, and we had difficulty finding them at times. Since I had no experience with any other way to bake with the oven, I was reluctant to have her disappointed by an unsuccessful attempt at "regular" recipes and hesitated when she asked. Then I found this amazing publication. The fact that actual chefs wrote it was all the encouragement I needed, and I set my sights on it. It could have been disastrous if someone else seriously threatened my bid, as I was a granny on a mission. I hovered over the listing, checking several times a day, suffering terribly as I tried to wait it out. Finally, I entered my bid, and at last it was ours. The mail never ran slower. I didn't mention it to my granddarling while I waited, too afraid it would slip away somehow. When it arrived in the mail, I was ecstatic, as it was all I hoped and more. At long last we could cook with confidence. I would hope every little person ( boys like Easy-Bake, too!) who uses an Easy-Bake Oven, and every bigger person who shares the fun with them, gets this little gem of a book to complete the experience.
