Album Notes King Crimson: Robert Fripp, John Wetton, David Cross, Bill Bruford. Originally released in 1972, the first King Crimson live album was an anomaly in the band's career, with its often chaotic interpretations of Crimson favorites like "21st Century Schizoid Man" and "The Sailor's Tale." There are attempts at free jazz and funk on "Groon" and "Peoria," and while this version of Crimson differs wildly from later incarnations (the only member remaining after the tour on which these recordings were made was Robert Fripp), EARTHBOUND is an interesting artifact of the band's experimental early phase.
