Earth Vs. the Flying Saucers (DVD, 2002)

Great print, superb remastering, preserving original film and audio--no digital "enhancements" or fake effects added. Most of these reviews tell you what to expect from this film, but one con I might add is the 90% dialog/10% action ratio typical of many of these '50s Sci-Fi flicks (most of this film's 83 minutes is talk, keeping you waiting and waiting for the few brief alien scenes).

Another major con is--and this annoyed me even as a kid happily terrified by the movie--the aliens look like penis heads...as many of these "professional" reviewers show themselves to be, judging the film's special effects against today's sophisticated tech. They forget that kids--and I'm sure that's who these movies were mostly meant for--were both astounded and terrorized by these effects 50 years ago...50 years ago, hello???

This is one of my favorite 50's Sci-Fi movies. I like it because it not only contains the current Sci-Fi mastery of the 50's but it shows the political atmosphere of the times. I bought it so that I could watch it on my schedule.

My husband and I are huge fans of the old sci-fi movies. Our kids even sit in to watch them with us. This one is great with the eerie feeling of seeing a flying saucer right in front of your car! The actor's facial expressions say it all. What makes this movie one to watch is that the actors really have to act in order to pull the movie off. The special effects for the time period are pretty good, but the actors make it work. I am a fan of watching actors perform, not watching a bunch of special super effects and blood and guts scenes to make the movie a thriller. Bring back the days of actors performing, not special effects performing!

What's important is dealing with people that care about their product. will buy again from this seller.

This is a quality science fiction movie. Hugh Marlow gives a first rate performance along with the other cast members. The story was well written and directed and the special effects were ahead of their time.

okay- this isn't a review fo a movie made 50 years ago- although it DID rock for it's age! - my purchase experience is the main thing here. I love to get media through ebay- i think i have had less snags than i do when buying retail-

Ebay sellars have proven to me to be highly dependable when purchasing music, games, movies or books. Not to mention loads of other stuff- but the higher "ticket" the more your should feel absolutly safe and secure about committing to the deal. Look for long history of high seller scores- I have never heard of anyone ever being able to cheat on merchant history.

go for it when it seems right- if it's too good to be true- well, you know the old adage - about that it's probably correct.

I'm a collector of classic movies and I had being search for this particular movie. What I really like about this movie is that, I got it on DVD.

This is a very good old UFO movie. I enjoyed it very much. When these are gone, there won't be any more like this.
