ER - The Complete Fifth Season (DVD, 2006)

ER's fifth season was marked by the departure of one of the series' core characters and the entry of a new one. It opens with third-year medical student Lucy Knight (Kellie Martin) being introduced to the layout and members of the ER (we learn Maria Bello's character, Anna Del Amico, has left), which also serves as a shorthand way of introducing new viewers to the series. She makes a strong impression immediately and reminds John Carter (Noah Wyle) of himself, but before long the two find themselves at odds. Elizabeth Korday (Alex Kingston) has to start over as an intern in order to stay at County General and in the U.S., and gradually ends her relationship with Peter Benton (Eriq La Salle), who learns that his son is deaf. Kerry Weaver (Laura Innes) tries for the position of full-time chief resident, but is beaten out by an East Coast hotshot, Amanda Lee (Mare Winningham), who turns out to have an interest in Mark Greene (Anthony Edwards). Greene starts to ride along with the paramedics, and Doug Ross (George Clooney) has settled down (finally) with nurse Carol Hathaway (Julianna Margulies). He's still on probation from the risky detox procedure he used in the fourth season, but he seems to be on his best behavior until a mother (Valerie Mahaffey) brings in her ALD-stricken son. Ross breaks protocol again but this time threatens to bring down the whole ER with him in the season's high point, the climactic two-parter "Storm." Other cast members and guest stars include Penny Johnson (24) as a nurse practitioner who joins Hathaway's clinic, Djimon Honsou as a Nigerian custodian with a secret, Marlee Matlin as Benton's sign language teacher, and TV Tae-Bo instructor Billy Blanks as a Tae-Bo instructor who teaches Lucy how to deliver a good swift kick.

I love this TV show. I was very sad when they took it off the air last season. Season five is the best so far in my opinion. There is so much that goes on in this season. A must have for ER fans.

Another great ER season. I love how the plot line evolves as well as the well written storyline. Decided to buy it in order to watch ER from season 1 to the end. Hopefully everyone else loves it the way I do.

This season is one of the last great seasons of ER. It's filled with more drama than ever. Ross does the right thing for a dying kid and is willing to pay the consequences for his actions. Hathaway considers following Ross's path, but finds that she is pregnant. The show delves deeper into the doctors' lives more than ever and the patients' injuries are more gruesome than ever and one resident even tries to end is own life bringing some personal tragedy into the show. I would recommend this season for anyone who wants to continue watching from season 4. Be sure to check out my other ER reviews if you are interested in watching the show.

I did not watch ER when it was on TV but started watching my daughters seasons and really enjoyed them. I definitely wanted to have my own collection of all the ER seasons available to date, so have purchased them through Ebay. Shopping on Ebay allows the buyer to compare prices from many sellers and choose the price they feel is fair and what their budget allows. ER has been advertised to be very authentic and realistic dramas of emergency rooms & staff.

I love the entire ER series and am in the process of collecting each season. Season 5 is filled with excitement that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Kellie Martin does a great job with her role as Dr. Lucy Knight, a medical resident.

Great medical drama suitable for the whole family. Good story lines, great characters and many interesting subplots. It's easy to understand how it lasted 15 seasons.

As promised. I bought it because I had all of the other seasons and could not find this one anywhere. It was described as new, sealed which it was.

all DVD's in excellent condition. box was nice. looked brand new. good shipping time. I thought that the price was a fair price with the shipping included. I have watched them all and there were no scratches. all the items that were originally included with the DVD's were still there. great purchace

I love ER and the dvds were everything I wanted. Thank you. I bought this dvd a few weeks ago. Everything the seller said was true. It was used but thats okay with me because the dvds worked.

I love ER anyway, so this was awesome. I am collecting the whole series, so it's great. I don't know what else to say about it.

I love the show ER. It is one of my favorites. My niece was too young when the series started to be interested in it and now she loves it like I do. I ordered 6 seasons for her for her birthday and Christmas. I would recommend this DVD for anyone to watch.

I love ER, and the first 5 or 6 seasons are the best! This is an excellent drama, and I plan to get every season they put out on DVD.

I have loved ER from day one! I Must have all episodes! This series is a MUST for ER Fans! The prices on eBay are always VERY reasonable!! I look forward to buying season seven through ebay, and hopefully all there are to follow!

Owning the DVDs lets me sit down to catch up on the episodes I missed. Also, I have the first four seasons of ER so now I know how things got to where they are today.
