ER is the only show of it's kind. All of the medical drama and emotional ups and downs are the absolute truth! This show is as close to reality you can get with actors/actresses. I can't stop watching it! It drives me to continue working in the medical field and to continue to become a doctor. This show is very close to my heart. This show is the truth! A must own:)

Love this series. I see some people comparing this to Grey's Anatomy, that is comparing apples and oranges IMHO. This is less love story (Grey's Anatomy) and more Drama and suspense. Michael Crichton is an amazing Storyteller, and fleshes out the characters so well. A must purchase for any fan of the series, this is where it all began and it still going strong (10+ seasons).

This show is excellent! It has great actors and actresses, and it has a lot of human emotion in it, while also being very entertaining and serious. Not a chick flick though, something male and females could enjoy...

I decided to buy it because it was so good I wanted to see every episode without leaving any "what's going on" type gaps in it! And because the price was half of what it is in stores on here!

ER: The First Season is one of the most well-written and well-acted series of all time. Each character is richly portrayed by each of the actors. George Clooney does a wonderful job as the rakish bachelor doctor, Doug Ross. Anthony Edwards makes bald lovable as the endearing Dr. Mark Greene. One of the best episodes on this disc is "Love's Labor Lost" where Dr. Green goes through a heartbreaking loss of a patient. I can hardly wait for the other seasons to be placed on DVD.

I have always watched ER sense it started on tv, its an awsome show! the reason i bought the item is there were some shows that i missed and i want to make sure i see all of them

This 4-disc set is a must have for any ER fan. It takes you back to the beginning of the series. Including the 2-hr pilot. Has all 24 episodes, plus blooper reel and behind the scenes video.

I bought the dvd because I like the show and want to collect the whole series, I bought it on Ebay due to the reasonable price

I bought it for a christmas present. I love the drama about the show, it keeps you on your toes. There is always something happening that is exciting.

I love ER, the whole point of the show is outstanding!! The storyline is about the doctors but then at the same time it is about the patients. There is nothing negative that I can say about this season of ER!!!

This season may have been broadcast 16 years ago for all I care, but it seems that the drama is just timeless. Of course, I was too young to watch it at the time, but as I got older and watched it, I could see differences in the show in its later seasons that had been lost from the first...maybe 5 seasons. Sure, this season was the premier, it was still lacking some good stuff that consisted of the doctor's personal lives. It didn't seem to show enough to add to the drama, but the show did enough to introduce the character's personalities and mindsets. What was great about this show was how some of the drama was worked into the plot of each episode that made me want to watch the next one...and the next one...until the season was over. If you're looking to rent or buy the ER season's, this is a great one to start with. I'd even go as far to recommend anything from the first 8, 9, maybe 10 seasons only because Paul McCrane does such a great job as Dr. Romano.
