I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE REVIEWS ABOUT PROS AND CONS. THIS WAS AN EVENT 5 YEARS IN THE MAKING SINCE THEY WENT OFF THE AIR. THE ORIGINAL NOTHING BETS THE ORIGINAL. I HAVE READ THE OTHER REVIEWS JOEY SYTLES IN THE BEGINNING WAS PRICELESS. I ALWAYS RESPECTED HIS RAW TALENT AS A COLOR COMMENTATOR.
LANCE STORM vs CHRIS JERICHO MATCH WAS GREAT FINALLY TO SEE JERICHO WRESTLE LIKE HE SHOULD NOT TO SEE SOME SCREEN LINE CRAP.

BENOIT vs GUERRERO CDOME ON THE ARE NOW GONE WHERE ELSE YOU GOING TO GET FOOTAGE LIKE THAT.
PAUL HEYMAN COMING OUT AND SHOOT PROMOING JBL,BISCHOFF,& EDGE WAS PRICELESS IT WAS ALL THE TRUTH AND LAYED THE SMACK DOWN ON THERE CANDY A__ES.

This event was purely and simply, MAGIC. It was the reunion of ECW Wrestlers and talent including several
(at the time) WWE Superstars who got their start in ECW including Rhyno, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero and
The Dudley Boyz, as well as ECW stars who (at the time) did not work the WWE which included Lance Storm,
Sabu, and The Sandman. All of these matches are phenominal because all of the wrestlers bust their @sses a
lot more than usual because this was such a special night. Several suprise appearances, unexpected matches
and a really cool "invasion" angle by "Anti-ECW Cruisaders" lead by Kurt Angle and John "Bradshaw" Layfield
make this, possibly, the greatest ECW event of all time. The matches are as follows...

Chris Jericho vs. Lance Storm
This match is fantastic. There's just something about guys who trained in the Dungeon that other guys don't have.
This was the final time Lance Storm would wrestle on a full time basis. Remember I said suprises??

Super Crazy vs. Little Guido vs. TAJIRI
This match is another great 3-Way Dance from these guys. Check out Crazy's moonsault off of... you'll see!!
It's so fast and the guys are just all over the place that if you blink you'll miss something.

Rey Mysterio vs. Psicosis
(Extreme Lucha Match)
Psicosis right off the bat REMOVES HIS MASK for the first time in the USA. Now this match like the last one
is really fast. Anyone who's seen other matches between these two (which totals 500+) know what to expect.
This is a contender for best match on the card and you'll see why. The fans are very disrespectful to Psicosis.

SmackDown! Cruisaders enter, and RVD cuts a shoot promo on a LOT of things including working for WWE.

Rhyno vs. Sabu
This was an unsanctioned match that resulted from Rhyno attacking an injured RVD during the promo
above. The match is brutal and includes chairs, tables and all of Sabu's famous, crazy signature moves!!!
RVD's participation in this match further damaged his already injured ankle resulting in more time off.

Chris Benoit vs. Eddie Guerrero
I try to not talk about Benoit but this was a great match. No further comments.

Mike Awesome vs. Masato Tanaka
This is my personal favorite match on the DVD. I'm a die-hard fan of FMW and these two started there. This
is another fantastic match in one of the longest and hottest feuds in Wrestling History. Fantastic match!!!
This was Awesome's last televised match. Shut up Joey, ECW stole him from FMW, WCW stole from ECW.
This match has one of the most brutal powerbombs I have ever seen!!!

Paul Heyman cuts a VERY brutal shoot promo on WWE, Bischoff, Edge and more. This is the must see
part of the DVD. I LOVE what he says to JBL about why he had the WWE Championship so long!!!

Dudley Boyz vs. Tommy Dreamer & Sandman
Listen very closely when Sandman comes out, even though WWE over dubbed his intro with their own
music, you can hear "Enter Sandman" in the background. Same for the Dudley's intro. During the show
lot's of original music played in the area. WWE dubbed it all over for the fans at home and for the DVD.
This is THE most hardcore, bloody match on the DVD. There are chairs, tables, even a cheese grater!!!
There are lots of suprise run-ins during this match and after the match Stone Cold comes out, throws a
Beer Bash with the ECW guys and calls out the WWE Cruisaders. Bradshaw is out of line when he hooks
up with The Blue Meanie. JBL is a bully, period.

This was a great show especially for the hardcore Original ECW fans. It shows some of ECW's greatest stars showcasing their hardcore and pure wrestling skills. The main event features tommy dreamer and the sandman against the dudley boyz. There are many interferences during this match. The highlight of the show is when the dudleys put tommy dreamer through a flaming table.

One of the last good ppv's IMO. The Hammerstein Ballroom is an awesome place for a wrestling show. None of the matches are great (they are all too short on time),but they are all pretty good. It's just a fun nostalgic show overall with a great atmoshere.

I love wrestling and the reason I bought it was because when I saw it on PPV I thought it was one of the best PPV's for wrestling there is. Besides ECW is awewome. There is nothing I don't like about it.

if u like ecw you have to great this dvd. it has all your fav in it sabu rvd tazz balls 3D pitbull 1

This DVD is a must have for any true wrestling fan. Every match is top notch, and full of action, this is the REAL ECW not the crap on the si fi netowrk! The shoot promos from RVD, and Paul E. are worth buying this DVD for alone. And Stone Cold steals the show at the end! If you like the stuff on Raw & Smack Down get your head out of you ass and check out indy wrestling.

If you are a fan of the original incarnation of ECW, or a fan of the WWE version of the product, this event was helpful in re-launching ECW a year later. This event had good matches, good promo's, and a rabid crowd made this night special. I recommend anyone that is a ECW fan to buy this item.

For those of us who miss ECW since the WWE took control of the wrestling business with an iron fist, this DVD is right up our alley. The WWE, for one night only (hence the title) reunited former ECW stars to present a PPV. While the PPV is still heavily dominated by the WWE presence (there are superstars watching in a balcony and then a brawl at the closing of the PPV), this is a great DVD for anyone who wants to see ECW. The matches were great wrestling along with some great hardcore spots. Definitely a good watch for ECW and WWE fans alike. Basically all of your favorite ECW stars are make an appearance in some way, shape for form and of course, Joey Styles is doing the match calling with the assistance of Mick Foley. There's an amazing match, which stole the show, between Awesome and Tanaka, and of course a GREAT match between the Dudley's and Dreamer/Sandman which goes on in typical ECW fashion. Some of the extras include some alternate commentary from JBL - which everyone should listen to, regardless of their stance on JBL; his comments on these matches is down right hilarious at times. It's a great DVD, a great presentation and so much better than the second PPV that took place in 2006.
