Dyson DC28 Animal Upright Cleaner

I think the price of the Vacuum sucks as much as the machine itself. You get what you pay for, high price, high quality. We heard from so many people how well it picks up dog hair. We have a Chocolate Lab, and our carpet is lined with dog hair. We shopped and remained patient till a sale price opened. We vacuumed our carpet before we went out and bought one, this way we could tell how much our old vacuum left behind. As soon as we got it home we vacuumed the carpet... The unit ran much more quieter than I expected. Then it started to work. There was not 1 or 2 but 5 canisters full of dog hair plus some dirt and dust picked up that our old vacuum ignored. WOW! I noticed that the animal smell in the house was gone. I was stunned, a product finally did what it claimed to do. Is the vacuum worth the high price? I am a cheapskate and hate to pay the high price, but my honest answer is YES! My only regret is I should of bought one sooner.
