well this is the epitome of your hack and slash action games. you are a one man army and are out to kill possible hundreds and hundreds of bad guys. it might seem to get old fast, but what made me coming back time and time again was getting all the special weapons and items, not to mention there is a very good story (that's actually based on real history).
if you're interested in playing the game to the max, to get a lot of the special weapons you have to play the game on very hard and accomplish special tasks, such as killing certain enemy generals, at certain times. it was not easy and not boring.
i have tried a few of the other dynasty warrior games, and this one was by far the best. and i recommend playing this with a friend as well (even though the split screen does take some time to get used to).
