Dungeon Keeper II (PC Games, 1999)

I love this game. As an admitted "spooky" kind of guy, the idea of being the lead bad guy in a mythical bad place is really appealing to me. Now, don't get me wrong. It's not as if I'm evil or anything like that. I don't sacrifice animals on an altar or cheat on my taxes, there's just something about this game that speaks to me. Maybe the power to control goblins and warlocks in this fantasy world helps the psyche after a long week of not being in control of anything in the real world. Who knows.
I bought this game (twice, I might add)because I think it's well thought out. One can play most of it with only the mouse. It's difficulty is progressive and its internal tutorial is pretty seamless. I'll admit it's a little buggy here and there and the graphics engine is showing its age a bit, but its replay value is fantastic. It can be played differently each go around. The character types are both creative and funny. Funny is an integral part of the game. Gallows humor is what this game is comprised of: after all, killing a bunch of do-gooders with a legion of trolls, warlocks and booby traps is not exactly like playing a sesame street game!
If you're looking for an involving and entertaining game that can be played in short spurts and fulfills your need for spookiness, this is the one!

Had to install an automatic update to allow the game to resume from pause mode after a saved game load.

If you like RTS's this is the funniest and most well thought out game I've played in a long time. You assume the role of a dungeon overlord and create minions to fight off heroes trying to dethrone you. The game allows for FPS with your choice of your minions with a posesion spell so once you've created your dungeon you can explore it first hand. Abuse your minions or reward them, the choice is yours but don't make them too mad at you or they will destroy your dungeon.

The game is real fun to play, the graphics are good, every now and then they do mess up a little but overall they are pretty good. I bought the game because I have friends who recommended it, and it was worth giving it a try. The game is challenging which I do like, but not too hard.

Keep your creatures happy, then kill a bunch of do-gooders. Build an awesome Dungeon, complete with a torture chamber and... a casino. Awesome game!

I only enjoyed this game because of my tastes for RTS and Dungeon Keeper I. However, the product itself was slightly flawed. When I inserted the CD-ROM to install the game, the software prompted me to change settings on my computer so that it was compatible with XP (so far so good). However, as I later found out during multiple campaign levels, I would get randomly booted off the game and an error report would appear on the screen titled "MC SHIELD XC.exe." I wasn't sure how to fix this, and I did email the creators, but was never contacted back. This created a very annoying environment to play in, since I had to save the game every 15 minutes, so I wouldn't lose my work and have to revert back to my previously saved game. The product came with little instructions other than an online guide, and nothing to help me see why an error report my pop up on my screen. If anything, try another seller, because Dungeon Keeper 2 is a great game, but not from this seller.

Well you gotta love the Dungeon Keeper games although personally I'd have to say one is better. But overall I am satisfied with the buy, the game came quickly and it works perfectly.

I played this game for years, then it was missing for along time. Unable to find a copy of this game in retail establishments, I turned to Ebay. This game has it all. It is a game for the ages.

A Good Graphics and stradegy game,only thing I wish was that it would work with Windows Vista,works good on my older pc tho.

This is such a fun game. It's old school I know but it's simple and it's fun to be the bad guy!
