Industry Reviews "...[A]lthough there's a strong feeling of deja vu about [this novel] it is still, in parts at least, a book of great power. This power...comes from the urgency of what Brink has to report..." New Statesman - Blake Morrison (10/05/1979)
"Andre Brink is simply not a 'great' writer; but he's an urgent, political one and an Afrikaner other Afrikaners can't ignore." Washington Post Book World - Eric Redman (01/20/1980)
