  The randomness of randomness
Review created: 07/09/09

I really enjoyed the anecdotes, the history, and the mathmatical/probability examples. Things make a lot more sense when viewed with probability graphs. This would be considered light reading for intellectuals, so for me, Jo Average, it was new and opened my mind to a new way of thinking. It's a good library choice.

  Mainstreaming Probability Theory
Review created: 02/24/09

If you liked Malcolm Gladwell's Blink and Tipping Point, or Stephen Dubner and Steven Levitt's Freakonomics, you will like this book.

Mlodinow illustrates principles of probability with real life examples. He writes clearly and keeps the reader's interest.

The title "The Drunkard's Walk" refers to Random Walk Theory, which is popular in stock and commodity trading.
