I was expecting a very funny and entertaining story. I found this book sad and upsetting. There were a few funny pages but not many. Mostly, I felt sorry for the heroine but I did like her cats. The knitting patterns were not anything that I would want to make.

I was told by a friend about this book. She raved about it, so I ordered it. There were some sad and funny parts but kind of just average.
I am allergic to cats, although I love them and have some outside ones. (spayed and neutered of course, with heated water bowls and houses for the winter) I think the cats helped her a lot more than she may have given them credit for.
I do not knit so the knitting items were of no use to me.
The book was a little jumbled up to me.
I guess it is just not my type of book.

) This book was hilarious. Moving through the day-to-day trials and triumphs of a newly-divorced woman, the author is surprisingly unbitter. A great read for the beach or waiting in the umpteen lines we all seem to find ourselves in.
