Drumline (DVD, 2003, Widescreen)

I purchased this movie because I had seen it a long time ago and remembered I liked it. I was not disapointed watching it again - it is a terrific movie, one that takes you to a life style and culture that you would not likely be involved with in your own life. It is a story about the competitions between University Marching bands and the challenges student musicians face to participate. The acting was very good and the director of the movie made wise decisions as shown in his full length commentary. The drumline of a marching band is a community within a community and is committed to an excellence of performance that may have no paralell in music. The sound they make is very exciting, the heartbeat of the band, and one learns about their world and ambitions through this movie. I also appreciate this movie because there is no violence or profanity portrayed, just human endeavor of an uplifting kind. I bought this dvd so I could show it to my grandchildren - they loved it!

this is an excellent movie. great for all ages. i'm surprised that not more people know about this movie. my husband and i along with my nieces watch this movie over and over again!

It is a spirited musical type of movie. Where the outsider is a gifted drummer but sports an attitude and has to fight to be accepted. It was just an excelent movie!

Because of a history in Drum Corp, I bid & won this DVD. I have a weakness for drumlines, so when I saw this movie up for auction, well I had to go for it. I hadn't ever heard of the movie. Little did I know just how much I would enjoy in. I just finished watching it & will watch it again. That does not happen often. Really gets into the mindset of the drumline & the commitment involved. Not just a teen movie. Very well done & highly entertaining. Good for young people who love music to watch, even with their parents! Superb.

I bought this movie for my daughter after she had seen it like a million times on tv. She loves this movie. I like the fact there are true lessons to be learned and morals, which you don't find in many movies anymore. Great movie!!

This film puts a different spin on things. Unusual for a film to emphasize the marching band. I loved it. I'm a big fan of the drum, and things film has all the elements that make you tap on objects while you're watching this. Entertaining and also has a point. This put Nick Cannon on the map.

My children are really getting into music this year! They are in middle school and this movie shows great inspiration and the challanges that arise as the music programs get harder! Great!

this movie was absolutely great, i couldnt wait until it came out on dvd, i absolutely love it, it was breath taking

great emphasis on the importance of teamwork, how to translate function as an individual to function as a group. the marching bands complex routine's combine with awesome music for a fantastically inspiring film!

My daughter is in band. Plays drums and she was thrilled to watch the intense action in this movie. Keeps you on your toes. Makes me want to learn how to play!

I purchased this DVD for my oldest son for Christmas. He loves this movie, seeing as he himself is a drummer in marching band! I love this movie because it gives all band kids hopes, and a goal, showing that if they work hard aything is possible! I have do not have any dislikes about this movie, all are great asspects!

This is a great movie about a high school student in a drum line but is really a story of personal growth, values, social interaction and learning to work for the group while letting go of ones ego. The acting is great and the musical numbers are exciting for anyone, especially those who love marching bands or drum and bugle corps. It is inspirational to adults as well as teenagers.

Its a good clean movie, It shows turning failure into success, making a friend of an enemy, and being able to accept your own shortcomings. It is just awesome the way they play and compete. I think I will go watch it now. Bye

Hubby is very weary about "kiddie movies" but he actually loved this one, as did I. Not too risque for the kids, yet engaging enough for adults. I give it a 5.

We rate Drumline to be a very good movie with thumbs up! Very inspirational and energizing! It goes to show what hard work, dedication, commitment, and courage leads to. It will keep your attention from beginning to end. This movie even offers a couple of nice twists near the end. VG Movie, as we all enjoy it! Great "FAMILY" film.

It works great and we got it fast the case wasnt damaged and there wasnt a scratch on the dvd thanks!!!!!!!!!!

I like that the dvd wasn't scratched and that it came very fast! Also it had all the artwork and didn't just come in a plastic slip cover.

I bought this movie for my 2 year old. We saw it on Tv and I dvr'd it and he has to watch it every day. I looked for it at wal mart and other dvd rental stores in el paso. No one carried it. Found it here and purchased. Great purchase. I received it right away and had great communication with the sellers. Thanks again.
