I was using this book to pass the DANTES DSST test and was able to pass it with flying colors after reading this book. I studied intently for a week and passed. The book was very thorough and easily understandable.

I needed it for a college class and they were offering it for a lot more money. I have bought books on-line for quite a bit less money than what the college bookstore offers it for.

I had to purchase this book for a class that I am taking for my major, this book provides plenty of information on drugs, alcohol and human behavior.

I needed it for a Substance Abuse class. Never had the chance to read it, but will come in handy when it's time to use it. Was in exactly condition as descripted.

The book itself has a pretty good array of knowledge about the subject. It is easy to read and very good at what it teaches. This is the first time I really understand how the brain is involved in drugs. It is organized well and easy to find what you are looking for. The does cover the major drugs (illegal, OTC, prescription, caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol), but if you are looking for other drugs such as salvia, LSA, etc it won't be in a book like this. My note to you guys is to be sure who you order from has a good rating. The person I got it from has a semi-good rating. I ordered expedited shipping. It didn't ship for about 2 weeks and then took another week through standard mail, so I got swindled a little bit. But the book is pretty good.

I bought this book as a required text for a college course. I am impressed with the array of knowledge it contains, and the readability of this book. The material is presented in terms the average person can understand. I work in a center for recovering addicts, so this book is very helpful to me.

I liked the fact that the book is easy to read and extremely informative about drugs and how they effect the individual and society. It also touches upon what is out there for the general public as far as programs designed for rehabilitating from the use of drugs.
