Driving Miss Daisy (DVD, 2003)

We had the VHS and received a DVD player so we needed to switch. We love the show and brings back memories of the good old days. Enjoy it so much!

I bought the DVD 'Driving Miss Daisy' as a Christmas gift. Apparently this DVD is hard to find in Philly so I easily found a NIB with original wrap on Ebay at a very reasonable price.

What a worthy film to watch! So full of inspiration and simplicity, Miss Jessica Tandy is delightful as a southern matron who eventually falls for her patient chauffeur, Hoke. A film that reminds us that friendship has no boundaries, two different people with two different backgrounds realize that they are more alike than different. One of my favorite films! Please watch it with your loved ones!

I bought this DVD because I had it on a VCR tape and it was getting worn out. The movie is a delightful one, something that the entire family can view. It has a great cast and there is no violence or nudity in it. It is just a good story that warms your heart. I would recommend it to anyone.

I have loved this movie from the first time I saw it. The actors Jessica Tandy, Morgan Freeman and Dan Akroyd really did a great job in this movie. This film gives a lot to the audience. Jessica Tandy does a great job playing an feisty but loveable lady who does not want to admit to getting older. It give a wonderful and believable story of 2 people from totally different back grounds. Who have there ups and downs. But end up being the best of friends. It also portrays what is was like for the coloreds went through in the deep south with the whites only issues. Dan Akroyd did a wonderful job as her loving but controlling son, who is married to a women that no mother could like. This movie is really about 2 people who come together and form a wonderful beautiful friendship that last through out their lives. There was really nothing that I did not like about tis movie.

This is a excellent movie. The acting is great and the story is great. This movie has no sex, no nudity and no swearing! What a nice change that is. This movie is a classic.

I love this movie and had to buy it for my collection. It's one of those movies that you just love to watch over and over again and I am a big fan of Dan Ankroyd and the other actors. I'm a southern girl at heart and it's just one of those type of movies you either like or dislike.

This is one of my favorite movies. I love the actors They are all three great alone togather tremendous! There is no blood shown, no sex no swearing lots of laughing,and a little crying.A perfect evening of entertainment,it's doesn't get any better,all you need is a bowl of pop corn and a friend to watch it with. I deduced to purchase the movie at this time because the price was agreeable to my purse and I have always wanted to own it. My order came quite quickly I was surprised. I would recomend this movie to everyone ,and personally I think it should be shown in seventh grades or maybe eighths.

I first saw the movie on TV. It's a combination of getting older, relationships between people - not only family but also racial too, frustrations, and laughter. An older white woman's brother decided he needed a little extra help; an older black fellow is hired to drive her around. Eventually, the working relationship turns into a remaining-life-long friendship.
Since I thoroughly enjoyed it and did not have it on tape or DVD, I bought it. And I watch it enough that it will eventually wear out someday!

I bought this movie because it has always be a favorite of mine. Moran Freeman reminds me of my stepdad in this movie. It just goes to show you that two people from different races and backgound do have something in common, that they both are human.

I love this movie. I have it on VHS and wanted to find it on DVD. I saw it on TV along time ago amd wanted the movie. I couldn't find it in the stores so I went on lineto look. Its a real comforting movie to watch. It could be concidered for the whole family.

This is a classic movie and a good one to own - a real feel good movie.
A good friend of mine has a list of movies that she wants to own and this was on her list, so I bought it for her for Christmas. She loved it.

a beautiful job of casting and the acting was superb funny yet tear jerker. a must see for the whole family.

I have this movie on VHS and it is my favorite movie of all times great chacters.I wanted it so much on dvd. so I bought it off e bay. It was used and that was ok with me . But seller said it played like new . well needless to say it will NOT play. and seller will not respond to my e mails . this has made me a little errie about e bay now. I ask that the seller honor my request in making it good and standing by (his or her word ). But have heard nothing.
Jessica Tandy is great Morgan freeman and Ester Rolle, Dan Akroid as well. Sure wish they had honored my purchase

When I found this movie on e-bay I knew I had to have two copies of this one, so I bought two, one for me and one for my parents. They loved this movie and so do I. Thanks again e-bay!

Perfect condition, still in wrapper, and it had arrived before expected. Will buy again from this seller.

A heart warming story between Daisy & Hoke.

It deserved the Best Picture Oscar as did Jessica. MORGAN SHOULD HAVE WON BEST ACTOR, HE DESERVED IT.

Dan, got an Oscar nomination as well. 1989 with this & "Ghostbusters 2", his career just basically stopped right there. Never had another hit film or TV show.

In these old fashion, GLAD THEY STOPPED MAKING THESE, CARD BOARD DVD holder. I have ALWAYS hated these things.

The DVD is of scmes only and is not the movie. I bought the item because it was advertised as a set.

A great movie about a Jewish womens struggle with growing older and being stub- born as well. Then she realizes and stops being raciest and by end of the movie let her guard down and admits that driver is her best friend.

I believe that the portrayal is very realistic. Having lived in Atlanta during the time period involved, this is the way it was. The cast is great, of course, but the story contains a lot of truth about Atlanta and the impact that the emerging civil rights movement had on the city.

Very good movie. I had trouble finding this movie in stores so I decided to buy from ebay. It was in great condition.

I love everything about this movie. I bought it for my husband. I sat down with him and watched it and it was a GREAT Movie. I seen how a hateful old lady could turn out to be a good lady.
