Sabbat's sophomore offering. Insanely good.
After hearing "History of a Time to Come", their first album, a friend recommended this album.
This to me is much much better than their debut, and that's saying something, seeing as that's one of the best thrash releases I've heard.
This album is based off of the book "The Way of Wyrd", by Brian Bates.
It starts off with a spoken word intro, "The Beginning of the End", which builds the mood for the intro song, "The Clerical Conspiracy", which is what I think the fastest song on the album. Starts off blisteringly fast, and doesn't give you time to catch your breath. This goes into an acoustic interlude, "Advent of Insanity", which surprisingly enough is one of my favourite tracks on the album.
Many more absolutely brilliant tracks start off next, and I could write tons about why I love them as I do, but I won't and I'll just say I recommend this to anybody who calls themselves a fan of metal.
