Dreaming the Blues by Robin Trower (CD, Mar-2004, Recall 2CD Records UK)

When I think of Robin Trower I always remember the early albums(especially the James Dewar work,the bass and vocals of Robins first eight releases).And with this piece you get some of that.This album is also live as well,which is "great".Funny how I used to think live material was unpopular with me,(it did not sound like the studio work),but today,.......You get a little of the old with the newand the live.This is a double compact disc too(both are live works).The first showcases the Dewar "effect".And it is a wonderful showmanship.Early work lets you see the begining and trueness of the music plus something of the later band(after James death)with Livingstone Brown(not sure how he spells the last name)as the voice and bass guitar playing duties doing some of the older stuff.On the second cd we find Livingstone performing from the 20th Century playing the all so direct hit Secret Place plus.And with the last half of the CD bearing the all unforgetable Someday Blues,an album of Robin`s that debut his all now known V-12 record label.Althuogh there was a rerelease of that disc as Another Days Blues,which was fallowed by a tour in 2006 it was a sucess.I`ve seen alot of the internet profiling Robin`s occupation I still belive he has alot to do more and has given quite alot of Love.thank you for your time .EG1960.
