Dreamgirl by Mary Wilson (1986, Hardcover, Illustrated)

I mean, c'mon, Mary, Flo, Diane And I know the truth, my 8th birthday gift from mom and dad were ringside seats at Blinstrubs, in 67, ....i have never come down since then.... just wonderful, the girls were just wonderful....i love each and everyone of them, alwats will... the music speaks for itself, and the class and style will never cease to amaze,... and delight. The few bits of the down and dirty were fun, but not really unexpected..... its a cruel world out there. Its THE ultimate rags to riches to rags story.... and we all fall done. LOVED IT

I have always wanted to read this book. The reviews at the time it came out were outstanding! Mary Wilson tells the real story of the Supremes and keeps it real! I was shocked by alot of the information about other stars that she is privy to, and she divulges every detail. Reading this book will give you a front row seat to the glamourous world of super star entertainment, as well as the not so glamourous pitfalls of the same. This is a great read, and a wild ride to boot!

This book is very interesting, I usually do not read book like this one. But, I was very interested in reading the book because we saw Mary Wilson in Concert a year ago and we saw the movie Dreamgirls on TV. Which sparked my interest to read about the Supremes beginning. I am glad I read the book and maybe when we see Mary Wilson in concert again I can get her to sign the book.
